Arianne,

That's good to know! I don't really care to have a sparkling wine toast right after, that's what the reception is for. As for cocktail hour, I'm just going to tell my guests that cocktail hour is at one of the bars you've been going to while you've been staying here cause its free lol. Doesn't the $50-$65 pp for the reception also cover for a larger cake? if not maybe I can cut corners and see what the price would be if I just didn't get the sparkling wine toast but then again that is very true about everyone already getting a sweet treat with dinner, and not every person is going to want cake. hmmmmmm......... I'll have to think about that. Thanks so much for filling me in on those great points! I wanted to try to take a trip out there as well to scope out the resort and meet with them too. Did you like the resort and what you saw and your experience there? It's so nerve wracking to plan such a huge event in your life at a place you've never actually seen in person. Also just in case you didn't know, Elizabeth no longer works for the resort anymore, a girl named Vanessa took over for her, but she's still using Elizabeth's email. Vanessa has been a lot better than anyone else there at answering emails in a timely manner.

Hi Ladies!

I just got back last night from our wedding at the GP. It was AMAZING! Just read through this discussion about the $20 ceremony cost. Not exactly sure what that went toward - we received champagne at the ceremony site, but no cake? I think the champagne was a nice touch. I think the size of the cake at the reception depends on the size of your attendance at the reception.

I;ll give a full review later, but just to let you all know, you have nothing to worry about. Rocio and Vanessa were really great. I wish I was still in Mexico and not heading back to work tomorrow :(

Hi there,

I'm new to this site and planning to get married at the palladium in 2013!!

I have read through almost all the posts in this thread and they have been VERY helpful. I did not realize we would be paying so much for each person after 40 at our supper...

I was just wondering if anyone happened to have a fairly recent copy of the supper menu/costs?? I would really appreciate it. My e-mail is kurtnshayla@hotmail.com.

Also curious if they gave you any deals for bringing alot of guests with you for your wedding, possibly a deal on your room or flight...maybe that depends on the company you fly through??

Thanks ladies

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
