Hello!

I am trying to find the perfect balance between beauty and affordability and was looking for some help.  I was wondering if any of you could let me know

1. How much your guests paid for their stay (excluding airfare)

2. How many night they were able to stay for that price.

I just want everyone to be happy- er, at least not super upset....

It really will depend on where your guests are flying from and what days of the week they do their flights. Mid week flights are generally the cheapest. If you are seriousily considering this resort(And you should, its fantastic then send a request to our fb group BDW Gand Palladium Riviera Maya, we have a few Chicago brides getting married there, or who have gotten married there.

Myself, we had prices range from $1100 for six/seven days, up to $1500(that is canadian prices from toronto, calgary and Edmonton)... It will also greatly depend on your group package if you chose to use one vs independently.

The GP rivieria maya is fantastic, its also huge, so there's lots to do for everyone.

@@LissaSou Yay for a confirmed wedding date at Grand Palladium! It's a gorgeous resort, beautiful private beach area for ceremonies and lots of awesome spots for photos (quiet beach, lobby, corridors etc.)

Here are just a few images from a wedding we recently shot at Grand Palladium Riviera Maya...

Hello, I'm wondering which one of the Grand Palladium resorts these pictures were taken at? Do you happen to know if this area of the beach has a certain name?

Hi ladies,

I've been trying to choose a resort for my DW in April-May 2016 ever since I got engaged in Sept 2014! I am having the hardest time choosing one! I thought I had it narrowed down to two: Barcelo Maya Beach or Luxury Bahia Principe Akumal. But after gathering more details about wedding packages and extra costs, the Barcelo seems to be very expensive! I'm now thinking the Grand Palladium might be a better resort to consider... my dilemma now is which GP resorts to choose - White Sands, Colonial, etc.?!! I'm trying to research, but there's so many reviews and stuff to read, it's overwhelming!

Please, any help in choosing one of these resorts would be SO appreciated. Some details, my group is about 20-30 people, probably no kids. I want my ceremony on the beach (private area if possible) and my dinner/reception either on the beach or poolside.

Thanks! :)

Hey Jessica, these picture were taken at the Grand Palladium complex at the Rivieria Maya... 4 big resorts in one larger complex with a smaller adults only smaller section too. The beach pictures are from the Kantenah beach and the fountain is the Colonial lobby. So you actually have access to entire complex except the Royal Adults section unless you are booked there.

If you haven't already done so and you are getting married at this resort you should join our fb page: BDW Grand Palladium Riviera Maya

We have lots of brides getting married there, past, present and future. Plus lots of info, pictures, reviews, etc.

My profile pic is the chapel at the GP, next to the Colonial lobby.

Hello, thanks for your quick reply! I just sent a request to join to fb page, thank you!

Hi Jessica! Good to see you got excepted. DB music is more expensive than the resort DJ if you go with all the extra bells and whistles... of which he offers ALOT! Jimena also added a file for Hercon which also offers similar stuff. Check out our files and photos section for LOTS of ideas!

See you on the page!

Hi everyone! So excited to see this q & a section! My wedding is coming up in January 2016 at GP and I am in the planning stages. Any advice would be warmly welcomed. Right now, we are choosing the venue--but I think La Laguna is booked, so, has anyone had their reception at El Gran Azul? How about Portofino?

I'm guessing dinner at the ala carte places is from 6-8, and then did you all have a cocktail or beach party after? Can DJ's and bands come at that time and how long did that last? Was it worth the cost?

I'm just trying to figure out how else there could be dancing, speeches, music, etc. after the dinner part since there isn't music allowed there!

Any help would be great!!

Thanks,

Natalie

Hello!

I have officially read ALL 214 pages of posts. Phew! Ive written down tons of tips and ideas, thanks everyone for posting! I am currently waiting to hear back from the wedding planner to confirm the date. She said she'd contact me next week to confirm. I'm hoping for 6-10-16.

As for right now, the wedding will be a symbolic ceremony with both of our parents and my daughter.

Can't wait to begin planning together!

Hello everyone! I'm really interested in a wedding at Grand Palladium Riviera Maya, but I'm having a difficult time contacting them. I haven't heard a response through email and can't seem to get through their phone line. Anyone else have difficulty contacting them? Any suggestions how I can get in contact with them? Thanks in advance!

Hi iaxiong,

They seem to have been slower than usual with responding. I give them about 1-2 weeks before I follow-up. I am working with Gerardo but Nidia is also a wedding coordinator there. Try their contact info below:

Gerardo: auxiliarbodas4.riviera@palladiumhotelgroup.com

Nidia: auxiliar.bodas2@palladiumhotelgroup.com

Hope this helps

Hello All,

I recently booked at Grand Palladium Riviera Maya.  It took them about a week to reply to my initial e-mail, when I was still deciding between properties.  After the initial, reply times were about 2-3 days.  The last 2 weeks, I agree with @ that they've been a little slower than usual, but I just send follow-ups if I don't hear back after 4 days.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
