I'm getting married here in February 2015! So excited, just got the confirmation from the resort :)

Hello all! This thread has been so helpful with planning. My fiance and I are planning to get married at GP in April of 2015.

Has anyone had any experience with a Catholic wedding at the Chapel? We heard it's beautiful but it would be wonderful to hear some first-hand accounts.

Also, what do brides typically do between the ceremony and reception. It looks like we will have the mass at 2pm, and dinner will not be until later.

And finally, with the plated reception dinner (50 usd/per person) is open bar included?

Thank you for any help!

Brand new to this site, however I've been reading the threads for quite some time now.

Planning to get married first week of May 2015

Have been emailing Nidia and she will confirm whether a tentative date is available. Excited to get started with the planning process. Once date is confirmed, Save the Dates will be sent out.

Help! Can anyone identify this cenote?

Hello brides!!

Congrats for your upcoming wedding!! I wanna introduce myself: My name is Carlota Fariña, and I am a Spanish former bride (last August).

There, you will find a lot of information from former and upcoming brides. We only permit the access to brides (and grooms, too of course!) that are going to make the wedding or vow renewal there.

This is very important because we want to share only our things with other brides.

There are more than 60 brides right now talking and asking possible doubts as you have now. You will find documents (price lists, menus, palladium phone contacts and emails, and a long etc). You could read reviews of former brides, you can see videos and photos and a lot of ideas of other things.

Hope to see you there soon girls!

Anyone have dates for 2015 confirmed yet? I've emailed the resort with my requested date and time for May 2015, still waiting for confirmation. I'm getting eager to send out my Save the Dates to give my guests as much time as possible to save for the trip.

Thanks fellow brides to be!

Hi FutureMrsMcl,
According to other brides are saying, planners will confirm your dare next May. Until now, you can pencil your date with your planner but it is not sure until you have payed the 300 usd for booking.

Any other brides or past brides have to pay a deposit to book a date? I'm trying to book a specific date of April 1st 2015 at The Grand Palladium Punta Cana. They want me to pay a deposit of $300 USD just to hold the date...is this normal because I have no idea? They said its a new policy and the WC is on vacation so this is info from her assistant.

I also asked for their 2015 pricing, but they said it's not out yet. I thought you just pay a deposit once you sign a contract. Is it wrong to think if I book a date and pay a deposit now that I should be able to lock in the package and price that's available now? They also sent me the deposit credit card form to fill out but still have said if my actual date is even available.

I want a symbolic wedding and they also said they require a marriage certificate. I was hoping to get married legally at home after Punta Cana so my Nan could be involved, if I do it before she can't go.

Any advice or thoughts?

THIS THREAD IS ABOUT THE PALLADIUM IN RIVIERA MAYA BUT YES, IN MEXICO IS A MUST TO PAY A 300USD FOR BOOKING. WHEN YOU PAY THE WHOLE BALANCE ONCE THERE, THE PLANNERS WILL DISCOUNT YOU THAT 300 USD FROM THE WEDDING PACKAGE.

THIS IS HOW WORKS IN THE MAYAN RIVIERA

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
