Oh I found the name of Chrestena's videographer! It is Josef Rios and she said that he was right in the Kantenah lobby. I tried to google search and I could not find any information about him. I'm a bit nervous to wait until I get there to set something up in case I can't find him. Any advice?

Hello Lauren!!

So great all the plans you are having for going to Las Vegas. So exciting! The tan thing sounds great, I do not know anything like this here, so I presume i am going to a tan salon.

So about your questions. Well first of all, yeah! so funny Vanessa told you that, hehe, i told her that we "had talked" and we were asking about that. About board, I completely understand the word in English and I remember perfectly to see them around the resort. Try to copy and paste this in a email. I am explain here in Spanish with all the details refered to the boards so she can understand msnwink.gif

About the videographer, yes I remember Chrestena told us that had a cost of 500 usd for two hours. If it sounds expensive try mine if you like it. It is called Matias Zalazar (Indigo Wedding company) and based at Playa del Carmen. I have booked 90 minutes for 400 usd because we have booked him and an assitant which costs 100 usd more. So just 300 usd for one cameraman. In my opinion is enough. I want the same type of video that Chrestena had. We will have two videos, one of 5min and other of 15-20 min. We will get it before leaving Mexico (as the photos from our photographer).

This is his contact:

Anyway if you are having doubts about things that are not related to the wedding department, write an email directly to the Public Relations.

I have contacted here to get the email about the rent car company there (we wanted to know the cost prior to our arrival to compair it with the other companies based at Playa). She is very fast answering!

Regarding the weather... I reject to get married at the indoor site!! I have alredy payed a fortune for special flower decorations for the columns of the beach gazebo!! I am crossing my fingers about this!! I know that we are getting married the love of our lives but nooooo please!!! no rain!! Here we have a tradition to have good weather at the weddings. We offer eggs to Saint Clara. I was talking about this with Vanessa and she told me that in Mexico they bury knifes at the ground! I do not know how are this at your countries but this is something in common between Spain and Mexico (and also Latinoamerica) that we have a lot of respect about all these traditions and we make them all. Vanessa was so funny, she told me "do not worry, we will make both so it will not rain at your wedding day".

Today I have continued with my DIY projects. I have finished with the tag luggages. I will bring them to the travel agency so when people go at the mid of July to pick up their passages, my travel agent will give them to my guests. This is how the tags looks

This are the starfishes. I bought them in 4 different colors

I thought this was with all the weddings... As long as I know that is what other brides had told me... For example a Mexican friend showed me this when she got married there at June 2012. That is how it looks the one she sent me... This is more or less what you saw?

Hello girls,

I am making during this month an advance course of social networks in an professional environment.

Our teacher has asked us to make a group in Facebook of whatever topic.

I did not know what to do and suddenly...

So I started it last week, you can see it and is a project of long duration (during the duration of my course that has at least the next 10 months). So I am uploading information, pics and videos of any kind.

The website is in English and Spanish.

I have sent some invitations with the emails you have written here. Not worries this is a private group so if you form part of the group there is no possibility to see your profile (for the privacy I mean).

Oh yay!   :) Thank you for the translation as well Carlota! I am on my phone typing now but tomorrow I will copy and paste that and send to Vanessa. You are awesome for sending that! And haha - I am going to bed tonight offering eggs to Saint Clara and burying knives in the ground. I don't think we really have any traditions other than just crossing our fingers. They say it's good luck but I don't believe that. I think it's just something they say to brides so that we don't cry haha! Good job on your tags too!! I can't wait to see what you decide to do with the starfish. :)

LadyLuck, Congratulations and thank you for the review, it's so comforting to hear positive feedback, especially when we are all in our final countdowns.

Lauren, I laughed so much when you apologised for the no paragraphs and then it did it again, that's like something I would do! :)  Yes I am getting quite excited now, I have just been keeping myself busy with my DIY projects, at the moment I am working on personalised jute bags for my bridesmaids.  I have done most of the painting now but have still to go and buy all the ribbon and embellishments to make them super pretty!  Here is a photo of them just now, of course I will post some more when they are finished.

Your tan party sounds great, and so does your trip to Vegas, what a fab way to relax before the big day!  We have a week in Mexico before our wedding so I will be sunbathing at every opportunity! I'm sorry to hear about the flooding and rain in your city.

This week I have been receiving lots of orders from eBay -  the ink pads for our fingerprint tree, lace fans for my bridesmaids (I am going to get them corsage flowers made and attach to the fans instead of a bouquet each), my travel bag for my wedding dress and gift bags for our OOT bags and gifts for wedding party.

I also found out since we are having Catholic ceremony, we do not need to have the blood tests done - yey!  We are just waiting for Vanessa to receive all of our paperwork from the Church here and I am a bit nervous about that seeing as it is out of our control and we just need to hope the post delivers everything safely.

Carlota, I love your luggage tags and it was a great idea to have the travel agent give them out with the tickets.  Your guests will love that.  I have also requested to join your facebook page, I'm sure I will love it!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
