Hola chicas! Laurent thanks for the info about the really slow at the wedding you were. I presume that being at one of the restaurants of the resort the service is slower. I mean, they have more tables. But at La Laguna or El Gran Azul the dinners are private. For example I asked to Vanessa about the number of waiters some months ago and she told me that there will be 3 waiters being 20 people at my wedding. I also was checking this Saturday wih Vanessa about the hours. We have finally booked at Lad Rocas for the dances and cocktails from 10 pm to 12 pm. As my dinner started at 7pm I told to Vanessa that my fiance (that in the past during some years worked as a chef) calculates 20 minutes between each plate so we would end around 9.30 pm so later they would carry us with the carts to Las Rocas to start at 9.45 - 10 pm. She did agree on everything. So I hope is in this way. by the way do not be strange about startig at 7pm and finishing to 9.30 pm. We have made changes in our menu and cancelled one plate. Yesterday I received a mail from Vanessa asking me doubts about one question I made to herf the texture of one of the plates. She wrote me with another menu... Two months ago I started to put down all the details of my wedding in a Word document (hours, places, info about the vendors, extras booked, etc). So after yesterday mail I have sent it to her. I have thought to give it to her on our meeting. But just in case (communication with the chef, waiters, DJ, etc) I prefered to send it to her yesterday. Anyway, I will give it to her personally at my arrival. So I advice you all to do sth like this... just in case! (Also Karenk wrote sth about that they served different things of her menu...) Heather my wedding is at 4 pm. The hotel has two weddings at the same time. One at 2 pm and other at 4pm so maybe your day has another bride that is marrying at 4 pm. Good night!

Hola brides...we are back from our wedding at the palladium! I'm not sure what to say, although the ceremony was beautiful I was very disappointed in the wedding department. I could never reach the girls at the wedding dept...my dress temporarily disappeared from my room to go get pressed unbeknownst to me( long story) my flowers were wrong, the reception was from 8 -11. They weren't ready when we got there. Started at 8:30 but they booted us out at 11 anyway. They never took me to my locations to view..we married right on the beach..dinner at El Dorado(air conditioning is awful in there and I roasted, reception at la Laguna. Alot of travelling between locations. They did not have a shuttle for me and my husband and photographer to get to the dinner from our photos so we were late. If you've been there you know how far apart all these places are. I ended up in tears the night before the wedding because I was so frustrated with the lack of communication. All our rooms were spread far apart..we had 21 guests all family. We stayed in the colonial. We had issues with our rooms as we took our kids and they needed to be right beside us. I barely spoke to or saw my planner. I am a former event and wedding planner so I was very prepared. After all was said and done we are married and I guess will look back and laugh about it all one day. I'll try to add some photos so you can see my location. My advice once there stay on top of the planners and deal with them early in the day as they are gone by mid afternoon to do other weddings everyday. I saw lots of beautiful and happy brides so I'm sure my day was a flook. 400[/img][/img][/img][/img]

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
