Welcome! I'm pretty sure that the receptions are from 7-11 (someone correct me if I'm wrong!). I'm not sure of the answers to your other questions! This thread had been really great though. Try doing a search of just this thread of "cocktail reception" and you will get all posts that are about them.

Thanks for the information!  I emailed Rocio today to get the answers.  I agree that this thread has been great!  Have you checked out the Palladium Addict website?  I became a member on their site before my first trip to the Palladium in 2008.  TONS of info. on there too. I found on their website that the bride and groom can stay for free if they book 10 or more rooms.  I emailed the reservation department to get more information on the offer.

Really?!? Hmm... Let me know when you hear about that. Maybe I will get my travel agent to look into it? I wonder how that works if people book through companies in Canada like Air Transat or Sunquest...

Here is the information from the Palladium Addict website.  I have not heard from reservations yet.  I also found the information at the Fiesta Hotel Group website too.  When I find out anything more I will let you know!

Interesting! I wonder how this works when you book through a wholesale carrier.... Also, when is "high season"? I'm guessing January! Too bad for me :( I'll be interested to hear what they have to say to you!

Not to rain on your parade, but we had 70 guests stay at the resort and we never got a free room.  They wouldn't even let us have a room for the day of the wedding so that my now-husband could get ready in while I got ready in our own room...

You can get deals through your travel agency... you get rebates when you have a certain amount of guests book through them, which we did... but they have all kinds of rules you need to respect.  Everyone usually has to leave on the exact same day, with the exact same flight and have the exact same kind of room at the resort.  But Grand Palladium itself won't offer you anything... you'd have to get it through your travel agent, from my experience.  Maybe some other brides had different a different experience.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
