Hi, I bought the hair extentions at a beauty store that we have here in Northern Alberta called Sally's beauty supplies. There were also at a few other hair salons that I saw hair extensions at. I know Jessica Simpson has a hair extension line. I am sure if you drop by a nice hair salon they should have something. I think there are a couple different type you can get, synethic and real human hair, the ones I bought were the human hair and the brand was named euronext collection. I am definatly not a hair extension expert by any means. My hair is longer to begin with but when you curl it, it gets a lot shorter and I always wanted really long hair for my wedding. The hair extension kit that I bought had 10 pieces which inluded a 8 inch weft, a 7 inch weft , a 6 inch weft, a 5 3/4 inch weft, 4-1 1/2 inch wefts and 2 one inch wefts for color testing. The lady at the salon only used the 8 inch weft and the 7 inch weft. I bought a colour that was the closets to my hair color but about a week before I left I was getting my hair coloured anyways so I brought in the extension kit and the match up my colour to the extension colour, my hair was originally similar to the extensions so it was nothing too drastic.

I was somewhat please with them at first they looked great but by the time I got back to my room and was about to leave for my ceremony we had to re-curl the ends. I found the ends didn't curl as well as I wanted them to. And I actually pinned them up a litttle before our reception cause the curl was really coming out. I am not sure if this was due to the humidity or the amount of hair spray that was weighing them down or the brand of extensions.

I had a friend that got married last year and she bought a synthetic brand extension and her curls never came out, hers we also not as long as mine were either. My suggestion to you would be to test them out first before your wedding day or talk to the salon about a good brand. I never did now wishing I kind of did.

It won't let me unload upload pictures. Can I e-mail you some pics of the hair?

CrazyKat, I would LOVE to see pics (sent you a PM). Thanks so much for the info, it is soooo helpful, I think I will def sign up with a salon to find out more. I have always dreamt of long luscious curls too, my perfect wedding hair would be a brunette version of this: Click the image to open in full size.

  • 2 weeks later...

I have been having that HARDEST time trying to get ahold of Rocio since the middle of April. Has anyone been in contact with her??

I'm trying to book my date, she said we couldn't book until the beginning of May, and now it's May and she won't respond to any of my emails.

Not freaking out too bad, but my save-the-dates are on hold for production until I can get a response..... :*(

Thanks
Mine was at the White Sands and that one has a really nice view. I think the one at the the Colonial/Kantenah doesn't have as nice as view. Where are most your guest staying?? If you PM me with your e-mail address I can e-mail you pics of what the White sands private reception looked like set-up.

You can contact Rocio, I am not sure if she has a wedding package of information for 2011 (if that is when you are getting married??). I am sure she can send you the 2010 wedding information package. If not you can PM me your e-mail address and I can send you the 2010 wedding package that she gave me.

Here is a website also that pretty much has all the information in the wedding package just in a different format

Wedding Packages - Palladium Weddings

Hope this helps

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
