The two options are El Gran Azul and La Laguna for a private reception. There are some pics. way back in the thread, and I do have some on mhy work computer that Rocio sent me. Both are similar from speaking to past brides and from what I can remembert myself. They both are open to the pool/lagoon, but they are on different sections of the resort. We booked the one that is closest to where we and all our guests will be staying.
If you are still interested, I can send you pics. via e-mail. Let me know here, or PM me and I will find the pics for you.

Hi,

I am planning to get married at the gran palladium and I'd appreciate any information, good or bad reviews about your wedding there, did you have any bad moments with the planning there? I'd also love to hear about the venues you chose. I'm having a 80-100 guests wedding so dont know what to chose. Do you have pictures of the setting? Thanks a lot!

Welcome to the forum.
There are only two areas for a private reception, but you would have to check with the wedding corrdinators on site to see if they can accomodate that many people with a private reception. Both venues are the same (from what I've heard) they are just on different sections of the resort.
As for pictures of the ceremony sites, a great source of info. is the palladium addicts site (Palladium Addict | Palladium Addict | The Original Fan Site of the Grand Palladium Resorts, Hotels & Spas) they have pictures on there as well as tonnes of wedding info.
Scroll through this thread (or use your search function) to find other great info. There are also brides that have posted on this thread about their experiences (one pretty recent- so check those posts out) That should definitely get you started!
Good luck. Have you set a date yet?

The Forum has a ton of great information on resorts and every resort has mixed reviews, so i know how terribly hard it is to decide. I actually went down to Mexico before my wedding to pick a resort, I visited Dreams, Moon Palace, Catalonia, Beach Palace, RIU, Paradissus and Palladium and I chose the Palladium...I am super super hard to please, a micromanager, super anal and it pleased me, which is saying alot. Below is a link to my pictures from Del Sol, Matt shot my wedding, he is amazing. I got married in the garden gazebo, right next to the Chapel, they finised the chapel the day before my wedding, It is BEAUTIFUL, it takes your breath away, it is honestly one of the most gorgeous structures I have ever seen, its this open aired church, with an amazing waterfall outside of it, super super pretty, you WILL NOT be disapointed trust me.

I would be happy to answer any questions you have. I had my reception in La Laguna, there is also Gran Azul which is exactly the same they are just on different sides of the resort, Laguna is on the White Sands/Riviera Side and Azul is on Colonial/Kantenah side. They both overlook the pool, both gorgeous. There is an extra cost to having your reception in Azul or Laguna, but with 80-100 people that will be your only option, it will be around 50$ per person, depending on the meal you choose. Why dont you send me a list of your questions and I will answer them all. I will also find you some more pictures. you should also check out Palladium Addict | Palladium Addict | The Original Fan Site of the Grand Palladium Resorts, Hotels & Spas. Tons of info here, check out their Forum, it is frequent guests of the resort, so lots of great information. Let me know what else you need! I did a TON of work for the wedding, OOT bags, my own programs, pre-wedding mailers, centerpieces, everything....so just ask!

Hi Carly!
Yes I finally heard back from Rocio, pricing varies from $15US to $345 US, if you PM me I'll send you what she sent me. I'll also put a post on Palladium addict about it, cause I've been having problems getting onto this site to reply to you!

The mods are doing some upgrades to the site so everything is taking a long time right now until they get finished. Hopefully soon!

Carly you must be so pumped! So excited for you!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
