Gran Bahia Principe Jamaica

Recommended Posts

Oh my, I really hope that I did not sway your decision... When we made our decision it was almost a year ago and since then I think that many more weddings have happened there. Ironically, I just ran into a friend who I hadn't seen in years who recently got married there - she had a small wedding, less than 10 people, but said it was great. I specifically asked about the beach - she said that there were two beaches and the one further down, I guess you have to walk just a little bit, was a better beach. So, at least you have a choice. I decided against it because a year ago they were transitioning wedding coordinators, cost and it was still a fairly new hotel (ie. construction still being done). It was tough to resist that beautiful gazebo though....

I agree with prettypeaches, it's tough how to take reviews - some people are harder to please sometimes - I think as long as your have the right company, you can make a good time out of nothing...

You did not sway my decision, I had viewed some pics on travel advisor that I was not to impressed with. I know the beaches in Jamaica are not like you would get in Varadero etc. The gazebo is very beautiful at Gran Bahia Principe from all the pic I have viewed. My mind was not totally set on Gran Bahia anyways. So no worries :).

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
