OK - I think this is the scoop on the time change.... I checked today online and it says that Mexico is changing the clocks in April... I believe it is only the US that is moving the date up...

Right now the weddings are set for 6pm. The sun has been setting around 7ish...

FRICK!@!!! I am so pissed about this whole time issue...I just got an email from my photog. He went & scouted my location yesterday to see where the sun will/will not be during the time of our ceremony, which is scheduled for 5pm.

I went to CSH yesterday for you and took these photos between 4:45 and 5:00 p.m. which should give you an idea of the sun coverage on the beach @ the time of your ceremony. From what I could tell the sun will be entirely gone from the beach @ 5:30 p.m. because it sets behind some hills at the back of CSH. Photography is all about natural light, the more light the better the photos, particularly at the beach. Have you considered having the ceremony a little earlier?

I did this scouting yesterday because I want you to be totally aware. If we take the majority of the pics AFTER the ceremony I will be photographing in low light and will need to use a flash.

I did a little more research & it looks like Mexico will not be changing their time until April (as mentioned in previous post). So now I need to try to adjust everything back an hour - hair/makeup, musicians, ceremony time, cocktail hour, dinner hour. DAMMIT!!!~

After having consulted local businesses, government sites, on line forums, information sites and a guru in the Himalayas it would appear that Baja WILL NOT follow the 2007 U.S. changes to D.S.T. (Daylight Saving Time). So here in Los Cabos it is still spring forward Sunday April 1st.2007 and fall back Sunday, October 28th.2007. I will try to attach a table I put together for you all.

We were in Cabo few days ago, the very day they change the daylight time.

I check in my iphone few sites to check which one has the ACTUAL-on-site-accurate sunset time and only source in internet who stated sunset time for Oct 27 @ 6:30 - with daylight saving time and on Oct28 @ 5:30- without daylight saving time was Weather underground, scroll down for history/almanac and find your wedding day with a previous year- it is a history/almanac not a foreteller.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
