Question about Palace Resorts Weddings

Recommended Posts

Hi Ladies!

I am in the process of booking my wedding through Palace Resorts and was wondering what the time frame was for you to receive your wedding contract... I sent my reservation request two weeks ago and have not received a contract- just wanted to see if this was typical and just need to be patient... I'm starting to feel like this girl_werewolf.gif

Thanks,

Megan

Megan,

I'm getting married at a RIU in cabo, but it took a couple of weeks to get my confirmation number back. They have to make sure a minister is available first. At least thats what they told us. They did respond alitlle quicker once my TA called them. That might help.

Megan, which resort are you getting married at?

It took some time for them to get back to me, but i'd stay on top of them because you don't want them to forget about youm (or give your slot to someone else!).

Maybe just "check in" and tell them you want to make sure they have everything they need from you and ask when you should expect the confirmation.

Good luck!

I'm getting married at Aventura Spa Palace.

i did the quick check on their website to make sure my date and time was available, and then i stalked it every day (okay, several times a day) for a few weeks until we booked. And then i sent them an e-mail to make sure they knew it was for a wedding, because we booked through Air Canada Vacations. I got my contract within 2 days. The Palace Coordinator in Florida (i assume their head office) and now my actual wedding coordinator at the resort have been extremely helpful since then.smile123.gif

Just send them an e-mail with your reservation info and politely ask if they have sent the contract yet. Or better still - call them and confirm. I'm sure they understand that this is a big deal and brides get nervous about stuff like this!

I am really struggling with the Miami office too. My assigned WC never ever answers her phone. Voice mails go unanswered. She left for a week without an out-of-office notice the week my reservation contract was due. It's been two weeks now, and still no written confirmation... just an email saying she got my paperwork, and a contract would be on the way. This was even after I left her an email and a voice mail that I had some very basic questions. I don't know how much more patient I can be. I am considering dropping Palace Resorts all together. I can't properly budget, do STDs or anything until I get some basic info from the resort. My friend says to ask for a new WC - does anyone have any name referrals?

i am so sorry you guys seem to be having such problems... Seriously, i have only had good experiences.

Here is the contact info for the woman who handled the miami side of mine. (I am no longer dealing with her, this close to the wedding. Now i am dealing directly with the WC on site.) But whenever i had any questions, she was very quick to respond, or to get them answered by someone else if she didn't know the answer.

YUDELKA KOK (the fiance got a huge kick out of her name... he's apparently 12!)

I had really good luck when I booked my wedding. I am getting married at Isla Mujeres Palace so I am not sure if my wedding coordinator is not as busy as some of the other resorts or not. I believe after we spoke with the Miami office everything was done through email. I printed out the contract and faxed back with signatures. Of course they take your deposit right away! Keep calling- don't let them forget about your wedding! Good luck!

I take my last post back...while they were quick to send me the contract, my WC has not answered my emails of questions...3 in all...I had questions about the contract...got them figured out on my own (somewhat) and faxed it in to make the deadline and not lose our ceremony time. The WC immediately emailed me to say she recieved the contract, but still hasnt answered any of my questions and seems to be completely ignoring them.

The only contact info I have besides her email is an 800 number which I can't get ahold of her specifically through....

so frustrating!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
