i completely support having the ads.

my only problem with them is my laptop is a widescreen style, and with ads on both sides of the actual forum content, it makes the forum part all squished together in the center, so i end up having to scroll "right" a LOT more than i used to.

i guess what i'm saying is i dont mind the ads at all when they are at the top and right side of the screen, but on the left side its harder for me, personally, to view everything else.

I agree. I have no problem with anything that supports the forum. I would even pay a membership fee if need be!

As Abbie stated, the ones on the sides aren't necessarily seen.

It only took a few days to get used to the new format.

I completely understand the need to have the ads to support the forum, but I do wish that they were not flashy ones. I do understand however that the businesses paying for the ads I'm sure like the fact that they are flashy.

I think it would be better if they were at the top. The way they are now, on each side, it makes the main part of the forum more narrow (as Abbie mentioned). Also if they were at the top they would be slightly less distracting when reading messages.

Anyways, like I said, I completely understand the need to have the advertisements, and I think it's a great idea to generate revenue for the forum, and for those businesses to advertise services that are usefull to the members of this site. Seeing as this is Tammy Host's forum she can do whatever she wants with it!

I don't mind the ads at all (and have even clicked on them to find out more about the company). And I hate to complain, but...I'm not a fan of the flashy ads. Maybe it's cause I read the forum at night when my eyes are tired but they're really hard on the eyes. A lot of times I'll scroll past the very first post just so the flashy ads dissappear off the top of my screen. I would support having more ads on the page if it meant they were static instead of flashing.

i agree with the flashing. i have to minimize my screen & scroll over or they give me a headache. I can't spend much time on websites like photobucket because of all the flashing i usually have to put my hand over ads on that site.

i think now that they are on the left & right it's hard to hide them by minimizing the screen. before it was really easy. i look at them often & am interested to see a new one pop up, i just don't like them in the corner of my eye while I'm reading.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
