Lindsay's Las Caletas Wedding Pics!

Recommended Posts

Our original plan was to just play our ipod in "shuffle mode" (we had made a specific playlist for the dance portion) and just leave it, then if we wanted to change the songs or whatever, we could or one of our guests could, but what actually ended up happening was the cruise director who came on the boat with everyone ended up playing music for us the entire evening! He played music from both our Ipod and from his collection of CD's...not sure if this is a regular thing or if he was just bored or what, but he did a great job and we ended up giving him a tip, because we didn't pay for a DJ and he ended up almost being our DJ for us!

Just in case this doesn't always happen, I would just have your ipod with the playlist with all the songs you want on it, and then just let it play, or you could assign one of your guests to handle it....

That's what I heard from Starchild. It's the boat director. Wow. That seems to good to be true. Good way to save some cash. Now for a more technical question that you may or may not know. My brother is an engineer and you know how those minds work!! He wanted me to find out what type of plug is used for the Ipod. Is it a plug that plugs directly into the bottom of the Ipod or does it need a 1/8" phone jack??

Of course none of what I wrote made any sense to me but maybe you or someone else more electronically advanced may know!!!

thanks again!!!

Hmmm, That, I'm not really sure about, I will ask my hubbie when I see him tonight, but we didn't really see how it was hooked up or anything. I'm guessing it is just something plugged into the bottom of the Ipod, but it is a professional sound system, so it might be hooked up some other way, I'm not sure!!!!

If you emailed Nicole, she may know the answer and be able to tell you! nicole@adventureweddingspv.com is her email...

Lindsay,

I love your pictures, you look so happy in them!!!! I think it is so cute and romantic that you got married on Valentine's Day!!!! [Yes, even though I wouldn't want to get married on that day, I LOVE IT when other people get married on that day- I think it is so romantic.] cheesy.gif

I love the BM dresses; that frill that is around the chest, that is so pretty- plus, that big bathtub was on your patio? Beat you enjoyed that. :)

Thanks Heather!!! It was a challenge finding a BM dress that all the girls were happy with!!! Thank goodness my future SIL is so talented and was able to whip the dresses up just a couple of weeks before we left for PV!!!!

The big jacuzzi was on the patio of the bridal suite we had for the day - it was awesome!!!

Yep, we're heading back to Puerto Vallarta in late Feb next year!!! I'm so excited!!

Las Caletas is a secluded cove about 1 hour south of Puerto Vallarta. It is only accessible by boat - and the only way to get there is to do one of the day or night tours with Vallarta Adventures (or have your wedding there!) It is a MUST DO when visiting Puerto Vallarta!!! We'll probably do the day and night tour again next year!

LOL, Ann, you'd be more than welcome to come down and crash our anniversary trip!!!

Actually, I had a thought this morning on the drive in to work - they were talking about trashing the dress on the radio this morning - we never ended up doing a TTD (I know you didn't either Ann), and then i thought it would be SO cool to have a photographer come out to LC for the day with us and do a TTD at LC!!!! Then I thought about a group TTD session/BDW LC Reunion and we can all pitch in to hire Leigh to come down and shoot it for us!!!!

I'm crazy and full of ideas, I know, but what the heck??!! Would it be weird to do a TTD 2 years later?? LOL

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
