That's fine since there are a lot of details involved, but last night he was over and couldn't even answer basic questions for me. It went something like this...

Me~ What's the name of the resort we're getting married at?
    Him~ Ummmm, (giggles) I can't remember.
Me~ Where in Mexico are we getting married?
    Him~ Somewhere near Cancun.
Me~ Yes, but what's the name of that place?
    Him~ Ummmmmmmmm, SantaAcapulcana?
Me~ No. What's our wedding date?
    Him~ December 10
    Me~ WHAT? It's January 10.
Him~ Oh, I knew that. I swear. I just made a mistake. (giggling some more cuz he knows he's in trouble)
Me~ (getting pissed) What day are we getting to Mexico?
    Him~ Wednesday, Tuesday,... Monday?
    Me~ *sighs and gives up*
    Him~ Don't worry I'll be there tho
Me~ Great, glad to know that on December 10 you'll be in SantaAcapulcana waiting to marry someone at some resort you don't know the name of.

He's lucky he's so damn cute or I'dve whacked him! And whenever he knows I'm getting mad he smiles with his little dimples and is like come here Kel, I just want to hug. How can you stay mad at someone like that!
This thread actually made me feel better!! I have been reading other girls posts that say how supportive there FI's were and how they were a team..and I'm thinkin, "My man just wants to show up, Get married and have funn!!...So something must be wrong!!"
Thankfully this lets me know that I am not alone!! :-)
I feel your pain! But this actually was a very funny conversation...Ya know..If your one of us reading it and not you actually living it! :-)

    Thanks for Sharing!! :-)

I still don't know if MIke knows when or where we got married! Details aren't his thing either.

Bless his heart, he would try when people would ask questions. Of course he would combine the 3 details he knew about each property and kinda create a new (non-existant) one, but it's the thought that counts!

My favorite was after the wedding, someone asked about the trip and his response, "It was nice, but there were too many people and too much to do! We had all kinds of stuff to take care of with the wedding and take care of the guests..."

Can I please tell you he did NOTHING with the planning here or in Jamaica! I really want to know what he thinks he did other than show up to the altar!

My FI's exact words when we first got engaged were, "I just have to show up, right?" I died laughing!

LOL! that conversation was way too funny. He sounds like my FI although I am getting more and more sick and tired of getting no help here. I even had a hard time getting him to sit down and finally pick who his groomsmen were going to be and we are less than 3 months into our wedding!!! I was getting ready to call his friends myself and ask them to please be his groomsmen.

I'm actually having the same problem with my FI and him asking GM. He only has to ask one person and he doesn't want to do it cuz he says he feels weird. I'm going to have to take that over too! I think I'm going to text the guy from FI's phone. He'll think FI asked and FI won't have to do anything. lol

I actually think its pretty funny now and sooooo typical of him. But yeah, he's definitely NOT a team player when it comes to the planning. He's more like the financial backing for the team. lol

The only thing that was going to make me really mad was him not knowing the date, but in his defense our original date when we were going to get married in CT was in December. We pushed it back for the DW. So, I will convince myself that he combined the two dates and really does know when we're getting married.

That is so funny! He's cute. Better get used to it - you might be getting that kind of reaction from him after you're married too! Men don't seem to do details very well.

That is really funny! Thank you very much for the laugh!!! I wish I could say that I can relate and I guess in some way I can but, for the most part, I'm the super forgetful one in the relationship. I sometimes think I can forget my own B-day!!!
