RoryS, I noticed you mentioned a certain centerpiece. Have you seen pictures the centerpieces that the resorts offer? Thanks
My niece sent photos to Jacy of what she wants and she said the flowers are available, so it shouldn't be a problem putting them together for her. They are fairly simple. I think the biggest problem is what flowers are available in Mexico.

My niece is having the tulle shipped directly from the manufacturer, but I don't know if you'll have enough time to do that, as they suggest shipping a month ahead. What color scheme are you going to use?

I think I'm just going to go with white...I saw tulle on ebay for cheap, I'm going to look around to see what else I can find. I just don't want the gazebo to look so naked and the chairs to look so plain...just a little something extra to pretty up the pictures.

That's pretty pricey, being that they charge additional for liquor. My niece's FMIL set up something for the rehearsal dinner. Not sure what sort of package she is getting, though.

Definitely agree - it needs something. I think once you're actually in the gazebo; you probably won't even notice the decorations. It seems we focus on it more because all the pictures we see are taken from a distance. I was asking my niece if she thought she needed something on the floor - like rose petals or something - and she said - who's going to look at the floor - everyone will be looking at us!! smile159.gif

YIKES! I was thinking about doing a welcome dinner instead of a rehersal dinner but I don't want to make FI's parents pay extra for things that, in my opinion, should already be included like food and alcohol (hence "all -inclusive").

I was just thinking about the welcome dinner at one of the restaurants, not a private function, but just sitting at tables near or next to one another. I haven't checked with Jacy yet about what my options are, though.

Does anyone else have plans to do a rehersal dinner/welcome dinner?

I WON!!!!!!

I entered a contest on this site to win free destination photography package from Danilea Garza and WON. I was so surprised. I am paying her travel expenses which is just about the budget we worked out for our photography. We were only able to afford a few hours and about 120 pictures, but now we have Daniela for the day before, the entire wedding day and a TTD shoot. Plus we get ALL the pictures on a CD in high resolution. I am so excited! smile29.gif

CHECK:

We also got our suits figured out. We had ordered the silk tan suits(which I LOVED) for the buy one get one free deal at Men's Warehouse. These suits were discontinued and they couldnt get us two sizes we needed. We decided to go with the linen suit instead and actually are saving even more money. Glad to have that sorted out.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
