That sounds fun. Is the rehersal dinner going to be on the beach then?

Also, I was just looking at the Map of the Resort on the Dreams Website and I didn't see the lagoon. Does anyone know where this is located?

I believe the Lagoon area is near El Patio. I'm not sure about the rehearsal dinner, if it's going to be on the beach or not... Her FMIL has set that all up with Jacy, so I'm not sure of the cost, either. I know they are having a cocktail hour & dinner...

I need some inspiration! I have been trying to find pictures of previous weddings at this resort when it was a Sunscape but I am having no luck! Besides the photographs Bianca posted for us at the beginning (thanks Bianca!) does anyone know where I could find some photos of weddings that have been at that resort (either as Dreams or a Sunscape)? Thanks!

Bianca,

I just spoke with my wc and she said that the Honeymoon suite and the Preferred club ocean view is pretty much the same thing except for the honeymoon you are guarantee a jacuzzi. Have you heard of this also? She also mention that with the honeymoon suite, you get the preferred club benefits. ( I've just emailed for confirmation )

None the less, I booked!!!! :) I finally got something done

I mean, all the rooms are the same size. I asked Gaby, the concierge and she told me that none of the Preferred club rooms have jacuzzis, which is conflicting to a review that I read that said that some of the Preferred club rooms do have jacuzzis, not sure which is true. You do get the Preferred Club benefits with the honeymoon room, but besides having an upgraded mini bar (which I read just means having mini liquor bottles in there) and the bath amenities, you can go up to the lounge on the 7th floor. I just want to already be up on the 7th floor so I dont have to go out of my way to get to it... My reasoning I suppose. At the moment we do have the Honeymoon Ocean View room booked, but I just requested that it be changed to a Preferred Club Ocean View. Dont tell FI, he really wants that jacuzzi... :)

That is strange!

The Dreams PA website says

"The Preferred Club is an exclusive area providing exceptional services, a private lounge and Preferred Club suites offering impressive ocean views, most with outdoor Jacuzzis, all in premium locations."

It also lists Complimentary newspaper in room every day (English or Spanish, Free internet access in suite, and Free computer access in Preferred Lounge as Preferred Club Benefits.

I don't know why but free internet access put me over the age because I think I heard it can be pretty expensive in the lobby.

Does anyone know how big the tables are for the reception? Jacy told my niece they were 5' in diameter. She ordered the overlays to fit them and when she got them; she just knew they were too small.

Now, Jacy is giving her pricing for centerpieces and said 4 will be enough (4 tables of 10 people each). There's no way 10 people will fit at a 5' table. The tables in the pictures that she has look much bigger than 5'. So now she needs to reorder the overlays, but doesn't know what size to order...

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
