Yes-there is a ton of room for dancing by the adult pool. In my opionon that is the best place to hold your reception because it is not as windy over there and it is more private. Also there is a bar right there so you wont have to go far for drinks!
Let me know if anyone has any other questions. I am not getting married there but I totally would after spending a week there
Thanks so much for that info. I didn't know that about the sand!! Learn something new every day. :)
I'm glad to hear you say you would get married there if you hadn't already planned to hold it at DT. I've been reading the reviews on TA and was starting to get a little bit concerned. Is there an area besides the pool that would be nice for the cocktail hour. We want to do them separately.

We were thinking about having our ceremony and reception at the gazebo. we are only having 10-20 people and though we could have the ceremony, then they could set up tables and a buffet while we go to the bar for a cocktail hour then continue dinner at the gazebo.

After seeing this space do you think this would work?

Is the space by the lagoon prettier to set up a buffet rather than keeping it at the gazebo?

I have to get cracking away on the details...yet Jacy hasn't emailed me yet for the deposit.

Hi Ladies-

Only 38 days to go and to be honest my stress level has set in. I am just taking it day by day and checking things off my list to do. In regards to foot wear my mom actually had beautiful flip flops made for me they are white with a 1 1/2 wedge covered in swarsoski (sp) cyrstals. I know is sounds cheesy but they are perfect. Please know that I will of course be doing a review on the resort once we get back from the wedding we come home March 4th. We are honey mooning at Dreams Tulum =) I am sure that I am driving Jacy crazy right now. I am trying to convince her that the $18 extra for the cocktail is crazy!! I will let you know how the fight goes. Please let me know if there is anything that you want me to find out in particular and I will.

How exciting for you!! I guess you're officially #1 - at least for this board! Did you decide where you're holding your cocktail hour/reception or are you waiting 'til you get the DPA ? What plan did you pick? Are you having more than 20 people? is that why the $18 additional for the cocktail hour?
Good luck with everything - can't wait to hear how things go!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
