Dreams Puerto Aventuras Brides - POST HERE!

Recommended Posts

Haha, I love my mom! She's so excited about our wedding that she has been googling anything and everything that pops in to her head about the resort, the area etc.

Anyways, she found this link that gives some really nice 360 views of the resort and I thought some of you might like it for yourselves or if you have a wedding website on the go (like me!).

Hey girls! I'm back!

I just wrote a long review on Reviews of vacations, hotels, resorts, vacation and travel packages - TripAdvisor so check that out for details. I'm super swamped as I have my at home reception this Saturday. I do want to put all concerns aside...Dreams PA is AMAZING! The gazebo and water color is amazing. We had 45 people go with us and many, many travel a few times a year to places like this and they said this was their BEST trip yet and the amenities, rooms, service, food everything was the best place they've been to yet. I highly recommend staying in the Preferred club area as the bride and immediate family. It was a great upgrade. We always met in the mornings in the preferred area. It was private and we had our own private parties at the bars at night too. I never once had any hidden charges with the wedding. They had everything organized perfectly, etc. We did not pay for a DJ. I highly, highly recommend speaker system because it's cheaper and their speakers rocked the house :) EVERYONE was dancing. All you need is your Ipod. We used it for dinner music too. The mariachi band was a great kickoff when the reception started. EVERYONE was impressed and taking pictures. We did the ultimate wedding package which made everything perfect and plush. I did hire Sascha Photography to do my photos which I'm hapy about. It will be 4-6 weeks till I get pictures though sad.gif We did 5 hours - 2 hours for the TTD session. I'll share when I get them. I have to get going but, TRUST me it's amazing. Outstanding even. The food (filet and shrimp) was awesome, the display was outstanding. Soooo many people were impressed. Our own bar area set up too in the meeting area where our reception was. Okay, I"m ADD'ing out, gotta go. Enjoy your weddings, you'll be soooo pleased with this resort :)

Hi All,

Havent been on in awhile...STILL have not selected a resort ye! :S I was really hoping to have finalized something last week...and so my hopes are now this week. :)

Meghan...update - just need to get fitted and place the order for my dress!! Hoping to do that on Friday after work. By the way, the wedding expo is this weekend at the round-up centre at stampede park 10:00-5:00. I hope your planning is coming along well.

One more thing -

Not sure if anyone is hiring a DJ...but i offered an idea on another thread regarding an ipod dock to play music. Apparently the hotel was going to charge $150 to use it. I own a bose ipod docking station and it is very portable and I know a girlfriend of mine has an even more compact device...it seems that the speakers on the bose may output more sound which might be nice all depending. However...what my point is, sorry for babbling, is that if a resort is going to charge, why not just buy a ipod docking device? You would then at least have something tangible at the end of the day. I might just do this myself. Def saves on a DJ...just make play lists or have it set to shuffle and your set! :)

Oooh! Jenna, are you getting the dress that you saw at S2?? I'm so excited that you've found the one! YAY!!!
I haven't heard anything from westjet at all so I'm assuming that they completely lost my request a while back. Since we're getting close to sending out the invites, I should probably call again and see what pricing they can do right now. I've been totally consumed by the invites lately... Are you STILL waiting on them to help determine which resort you go with?? I can't believe they're taking so long!

And Thanks for reminding me about the wedding show this weekend. I'd honestly completely forgot. I am hoping to pick up some accessories at a good price!

Yah, we put the 360 website on our wedding website too for all our guests so I hope everyone gets to check it out! My mom is SO excited and always tells me when she's watching Say Yes to the Dress, and Wedding Planner SOS etc. so it doesn't surprise me that she found that site!

And I couldn't find Jamie's reviews either...

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
