Not sure if you quite caught the wording on the pricing... I was SO excited thinking it was $35 per cart but it was too good to be true sad.gif Extra fees apply for morning tee times too but I guess that's not too surprising given what Ginalyn had reminded us about the temperatures.

"If you choose to play before 12 pm, a surcharge applies for premium tee times as follows:

* From December 18th, 2009 to May 15th, 2010, a premium tee time surcharge of $35.00 USD per person applies.
* From September 1st, 2009 to December 17th, 2009 and from May 16th, 2010 to August 31st, 2010, a premium tee time surcharge of $15.00 USD per person applies.
* No surcharge applies for tee times after 12 pm until the closing of the course.

Please remember the use of a golf cart is mandatory and the rental fee is $35 USD per person in a shared cart.

So even with the green fees taken care of, we're still looking at $70 USD just to get a morning time and a cart, nevermind the cost of club rentals. Booo.

rainfall is next, I will see her wedding. They upgraded us free to the marina view because of air canada and again to a ocean view from the hotel. I was inquiring about a master suite and it was 1000$ a night which I found ridiculous! We had a discount form items not used in the wedding package and another 25% I cant remember why and we finally paid 1200$ to be on the 7th floor preferred club. I think their upgrades are VERY expensive. I never saw that anywhere else and we travel a lot,. Anyways thats what we choose to do. Hope its worth it. I will tell you all about it!

ps:the regular upgrades were 100$ a night and 200$ for preferred club I think...I also think it depends on the time of year.

Also, ladies who have already had their big day, what was the best food? Any menu items that weren't a bit hit with the guests?

Thanks!!
I'm not sure exactly why they aren't able to reserve El Patio, but my guess is that it's because by then they'd have a good idea as to whether or not there will be alot of guests at the resort. If there are alot of guests at the resort, then they probably won't be willing down to close the restaurant for a reception, because they'll need to make sure they have enough restaurants open to accomodate all the guests.

As far as food we had the tortilla soup, mixed green salad, shrimp in puff pastry, surf and turf, and tiramisu. Our guests loved everything. My favorite was probably the shrimp in puff pastry. I didn't care much for the tiramisu. I only asked them to bring out one per table since the wedding cake was our real dessert.

I guess being from being in Louisiana and so close to the Gulf, we're used to it. The weather/humidity in Mexico really wasn't that much different from what we get here.

MYLENE, congrats! I hope everything goes perfectly for you. popcorn.gif Can't wait for your review.

Hi Ladies, I am new to posting (I have been a lurker for awhile), and I have read through most of your posts. Thank you for all the great info you have posted, and we are excited to have finally decided on Dream PA.

We are getting married in October 2010. I did hear back from Sandra to confirm my date, but am not thrilled about it so I am going to see what else they might have available.

Especially thank you for all the pictures, it helps to see the real deal and not just the resort brochures!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
