Thank you for your answers! My girlfriend who is a stylist is now going to do both my hair and make-up so hopefully we'll get some sort of credit since I'm not using these and they are in our package.
Regarding the DJ, did you happen to get his/her card? I want to be in touch with them prior to our trip. I emailed Jacy Tuesday asking her this as well.....thanks!
Hmm yikes, sorry...I don't remember the DJ's name blush2.gif There was a DJ and he had an assistant with him. I do know that he did whatever you asked him! He also has a microphone so that people could do toasts

I think they put the flowers from the gazebo on the table with the cake.
Thank you! I think I might just let them take care of the centerpieces then...it's expensive because we'll need quite a few, but might be a lot easier!!

we were married at DPA on June 9th 2009. Stunning and perfect. thanks to jgomez for finding me at the pool and giving me valuable advice! I will post a more detailed review but to sum it up- the reason why our wedding was perfect was because we demanded only the best and did not agree to pay until the next day. - that is key so they will be sure to not forget anything or mess anything up. We had our reception in the gazebo, cocktail reception at the lagoon, dinner at the base of the gazebo and we used the gazebo as our dance floor. We had the dj the entire time and he was perfect - we had him play till 12:30am and the next day everyone was asking about the crazy dance party in the gazebo-lol People from other resorts saw and heard our wedding reception too. The gazebo was beautiful at night! The breeze naturally cools you off if you are dancing lots and the water crashing was just magical!

more soon!
Andrea :-)

Andrea you are so sweet for sharing these pictures!! This helps a lot! Congratulations!! Can't wait for your review. THANK YOU!!!

Hello everyone,

I had read a number of the posts in this thread as my FI and I have been bouncing between Dreams (Tulum and PA) as well as another resort, Paradisus. We were almost ready to look into booking at the PA Dreams but read a number of comments about the beach and the rocks. So we decided to start the search again. Then...we found out that there is going to be another Dreams in the RM area, near Paradisus resort actually. It is the Dreams Riviera Cancun.

Wondering if anyone has tried to get any info for the new Dreams resort or if you know who the WC will be for this resort?

Thanks!

One good thing about the beach being rocking is that there is good snorkeling right by the resort. As for picking the new dreams resort, it will be nice and new but it takes time for the resorts to work all the kinks out. When Dreams PA reopened people had many complaints, but now 7-8 months later it seems like everyone is happy.

Great review Andrea!! You looked absolutely stunning. Having the reception/dinner in the gazebo is want I want also...not too chilly?

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
