Hey maybe we could all meet you at DPA for our anniversaries next year and watch you do your renewal!!! Sounds like a plan to me!!!

Stay in touch ,

Thank you!!! I would love to go down for my anniversary next year, even tried to look yesterday for prices but nothing was coming up this far in advance. I don't know that we'll do the renewal on our one year though, maybe 5 or 10 year. But heck yeah, party at DPA 2010, maybe we could join some of the 2010 brides smile29.gif

Thanks badrianne! Yes I am definitely excited and ready for a nice long vacation. FI and I actually had Legal Day yesterday. I was crying like a baby. If I cried during Legal Day I don't even want to imagine the mess I will be on June 18! Oh well! I pretty much have all stuff done that I can do at home (like OOT bags, chair bows, etc). Got the dress, the shoes...I'm probably forgetting something I'm sure. Now it's just a wait for our meeting with Sandra (not sure if some of you saw my earlier post but Sandra is another WC at DPA) when we arrive to pick out flowers, menu, etc. From what I know at this point we are doing our cermony at the gazebo and cocktail hour and reception at the lagoon. I hope it's not too windy at the lagoon! We're just taking it as it comes.

Thanks for sharing the video Bianca!

I figured out why I have been so bad at commenting, I am not getting updates from the forum of new posts...not sure why.

I wanted to share another online company I have found....Moon Glow Candles. They sell sand in TONS of colors for the sand ceremony. They also say comparabale to Alfred Angelo's _____ or David's Bridal _______, very good match to my swatch, and it was quickly proccessed and shipped.

I had also shared the programs company which was custom-programs.com for the programs that look like fans....she was great to deal with and really able to customize. I ended up ordering menus, place cards and table numbers as well.

Also, I found a cake place near by....turtle bay cafe in Akumal. Just google cakes akumal or something and it comes up. She is charging me ~$300 for the big cake and the groom's cake with delivery. I was disappoiinted with the ones we had seen on dreams website and the one from lyales wedding....anyway, in case anyone is interested.

Also, after the wedding, Brad and I will be moving to El Paso, TX (actually our house hold goods will be gone 1 week before the wedding), and we are not going to move into our new home to end july-earlu Aug....we are going to be away in Europe from ~7/1-20, so I will not post pictures or a review for A WHILE! Starting a new job as soon as we get to Texas to start paying all this back :)

Best wishes to you all if I don't get on to write before then!

Best, Monica

I can picture the legal day may be just as emotional for me.
If you have time tell us about your OOT's bag. I hope you can make a planning tread. They are so inspirational. I'm sure Sandra will work out well. Being new... people usually try harder :). I hope it's not too windy either. Luckily you can always change at the last minute. We all stress over not being able to make plans in advance but on the flip side being able to change venues and guest counts last minute with no penalties can be really nice. I'm getting excited for you and your review. YAY!

OMG...Congrats Bianca!! You and your hubby looked so bissfully happy and your wedding was just beautiful...

RBB, thanks for dropping by! I am glad that things worked out for you and your new husband! I am sure that your wedding was gorgeous!

I am about six weeks away and still alot to do!

Does anyone know where I can buy customized plastic mugs with lids (like 22oz.) in a small quantity?? I desperately want to give these to the people coming down to Mexico so that we don't have to bother with the little cups and melted drinks...

Thanks!

Alli

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
