So it was less expensive than the recent one she sent and there was no charge for alcohol.

I intend to f/u with her and will let you all know
Thanks you so much for this!!! I haven't asked Jacy about a welcome dinner yet, but is on my things to do list. I love this menu as well....the one thing I am confused about is, is there an extra charge (18 per person) regardless of if that is just if it is any one of the ala carte restaurants? Do you know if we can go with this menu and not have it in one of those restaurants and if so, where would we have it? TIA!!!

On a side note, I have a friend of a friend who is getting married in May (my wedding isn't until November) so I should have some good insight when she gets back as well (my friend is attending her wedding)! I also visited this resort in December when my fiance and I were deciding on places for our wedding so if anyone has questions I am happy to try to help. I have been traveling a lot for work so haven't been on this board as much lately, but I'll try to get on more.

What are your thoughts on using freeze dried rose petals? We would probably just use them in the gazebo, along the walkway between the chairs, leading up to the table. Do you think they would stay there or blow away? The walls around the gazebo are pretty high, but there are some openings, so I wouldn't want them to have one big gust and blow into a big pile!

It doesn't look like you cannot fit them all in one of the banquet rooms, but it says up to 360 on the beach, so probably.
Bianca,
Thanks much for your response. Talked to Jacy about 3 times today & she said that she could accomodate our party of up to 100 guests but the ceremony must take place on the beach & that our options for the reception is either the ballroom or the beach. She also said that the decision on the reception wouldn't take place until October. I'm okay with the options given & now we're just waiting to get the contract signed. I'm getting excited...but nervous!

Hi Everyone, and congrats to all of u!

I just joined and I'm a forum Newbie for sure. I still haven't figured out my way around but I am a DPA bride and thought I should reply to this thread. If anyone has advice on how to navigate the forum, has a good DW checklist, or any advice on marrying at the resort I would appreciate it. I will be wed on November 26, 2009. Any other DPA brides around that time?

Hiya-
Did she give an idea what the reception would like on the beach? Decorations etc?

I plan on using fake rose petals along the walkway (we have a flower girl). I am not sure how windy it will be though. I'm hoping that by having people in the gazebo it would help block at least some of the wind off the ground. I guess we shall see!

Can you use fake petals? I thought there were some eco issues and you had to use either real or freeze dried. Fake/silk are so much cheaper and we could get much more for less... can someone find outhuh.gif
Thanks!!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
