Dreams Puerto Aventuras Brides - POST HERE!

Hi all-

If you are having one of the gold/silver wedding dinners don't they have to sit you together??

Also, I read somewhere (maybe Dreams Tulum) that you could ask the "mexican trio" to play songs of your choice if you get the Ultimate wedding package. Has anyone else heard that? Good question about the i-pod..I was just going to bring my own i-pod docking system.

My niece is bringing her own docking system, but I think you still need the more powerful speakers, which she is renting.

Do you know how much they are charging her for the speakers only. They quoted me $130 PER HOUR. I thought this was very expensive and could add up to $700 or more for the whole event.

I think we are just going to bring our own iPod dock with speakers because I think we will have our small group under the gazebo and it will be somewhat of a confined area. Also we are just having music for ambiance and a few dances(dad and FH), but aren't really into any major dancing.

In Case Anyone was Wondering......

I just had a little panic attack! I am arriving in Mexico on 10/27 and was scheduled to be married on 10/29. Even though my FI and I are just having a symbolic wedding (getting legally married before we go) my travel agent said he thought we still needed to be there four days before the wedding.

So I freaked out a bit because I just assumed that the 4 day requirement was a legal requirement and not imposed by the resort. I emailed Jacy and she said it was okay that we would only be in Mexico two days before the ceramony. Phew!

Anyway, I thought I would pass along the info in case anyone else runs into that issue.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
