In regards to foot wear my mom actually had beautiful flip flops made for me they are white with a 1 1/2 wedge covered in swarsoski (sp) cyrstals. I know is sounds cheesy but they are perfect. Please know that I will of course be doing a review on the resort once we get back from the wedding we come home March 4th. We are honey mooning at Dreams Tulum =) I am sure that I am driving Jacy crazy right now. I am trying to convince her that the $18 extra for the cocktail is crazy!! I will let you know how the fight goes. Please let me know if there is anything that you want me to find out in particular and I will.
YAY!!! I am so excited for you.....like another poster said I think you will be the first from this board. :)
Your flip flops sound gorgeous! That might be the way to go!!
I've heard a lot of fabulous things about Dreams Tulum...how exciting!!

When did you reserve your date? When I reserved I was told that I only needed to book our room to confirm the date. I don't think anyone that booked a while ago has been asked for a deposit. I think its just the recent bookings that are putting down a deposit. I mention my date and time in every email that I send. I'm actually about to send another to ask if there are any other weddings on my day (which I assume there are, but I want to know what time)

We have not been asked to put down a deposit for the wedding package either. I only put a deposit down for the rooms. We were told that booking our stay serves as a confirmation and hold for your wedding date.

I got worried, so I had my travel agent get in writing(email) from Jacy that our date and time is secured.

I have it saved so I feel better about it now. smile03.gif

Just read the Trip Advisor review regarding the wedding. Can't say I am thrilled to hear about all the noise around the gazebo. Maybe the beach area is more secluded, but I was hoping to have that one aspect decided prior to going down. Maybe lyales can let us know? since she is going down so soon.

Hi Ladies,

When I requested some info. from Jacy via my TA, she also informed her about the deposit and gave the following forms to fill out. I was a little nervous about the copies of my credit card, etc. but those have been sent in and it appears that no one has stolen my identity yet. I am yet to get clearance from the accounting department to say that my deposit has been processed.

For those of you having a hard time getting connected with Jacy, I would recommend filling this form out and sending it down to her to ensure that your event is held.

Let me know if you have any questions, gals!

Thanks,

Alli

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
