Dreams Puerto Aventuras Brides - POST HERE!

Recommended Posts

Thanks for posting that AlliMay, I hadn't seen it. However, now that I have, I guess I am going to be paying for upgrade because none of those are as tropical or as colorful as what I have in mind, time to start sending inspiration pictures to Jacy to get quotes I guess. My wedding is exactly 4 months from today so I am going to start trying to get things lined up. I have fallen behind in planning. Gonna work on the invites soon. I have to get my FI to create our monogram still, feels like there is so much to think about and do! One thing out of the way is the dress, I ordered it last weekend, its gonna come in cutting it close though so I will be paying extra for rush alterations. Oh well.

Hope everyone's planning is going well:) Here's a little update from me: My very generous and "crafty" friend offered to help me make boarding pass invites so I am going to get started on those and hopefully get them out in the next couple of weeks. Also we booked a venue for our at-home celebration...it will be a cocktail party in the afternoon-very casual. Still need to find a dress, tho...eek!

Just thought I'd share...How is everyone else's planning goinghuh.gif

Do you mind emailing that document to me? hstickle@aii.edu
I would love to take a look!! TIA!!!
We are thinking of doing the same thing for our at home celebration...something casual, probably on a Saturday afternoon. :)

Final decisions? We haven't discussed anything! All I know for sure is that I am getting the Ultimate wedding package. *sigh* I'm at a loss. What have you discussed with her in those regards?

Just so you don't feel so frustrated, most of your decisions can be made or changed once you get to mexico. You will sit down and meet with the WC and she'll go through everything. Believe me, I know it can be SO frustrating, I was in your shoes not that long ago! But they really do know what they're doing and your wedding will turn out beautifully.

One suggestion I would make for all of you, as I do with my brides, put together a bulleted list of everything concerning your wedding day. Times, flowers, locations, food, decorations, etc.... everything you can think of and email the finalized list to either the wedding coordinator, or your travel agent if they are helping you with your wedding. I wouldn't send the list until you are close to positive on all of your decisions.

And then either the WC can get back to you with questions, or get back in touch with your travel agent.

I think this usually works best because sometimes so many emails get sent back and forth saying, I want pink flowers, no make that yellow, I don't want a bouquet, etc.... (you get my point) I think it makes it much easier for them to have one document with all of your final decisions and then when you arrive you can re-confirm or make changes, and you'll be off and running.

Hope this helps.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
