Does anyone know what the Ultimate package includes as far as chair covers, chair bows, overlays, etc? Are these items included just for the first 20 people and everything over that number is extra?

Also, she likes the idea of having a choice of entrees, as she wants the surf and turf, but some of her guests either don't eat meat or don't eat seafood. I agree with Bianca, most places always offer at least 2 choices of entree.

Hey Ladies!

I am considering the "Ultimate Package" and I was wondering if any of you know how they will be charging non-hotel guests.

Does the purchase of a Day Pass include everything? Ceremony (their chairs), reception (food and drinks)?

Or will I have to pay for everything on top of the day pass seprately? Day pass+ceremony+ reception? Which will add up to A LOT of $$ if people don't end up staying at Dreams.

Day Pass= lunch and dinner $55

Full Day Pass= bfast, lunch, and dinner $80

Ceremony set up= for more that 20 people extra cost?

Dinner per person for "Ultimate Package" is $55 pp.

I agree with Bianca...my TA said that a day-pass would be necessary just to get any guests staying outside of the resort, onto the premises. Any charges for food, rental items, etc. would be on top of that initial cost.

Needless to say, I am encouraging everyone to stay Dreams and avoid the hassle of getting people in.

oh my! so much to consider!

Hi im sam...newbie on the forum, but have spent countless hours the past few days reading numerous threads of many resorts.

Im definately considering DPA but with all these separate charges for everything its making my head hurt!

It seems really hard to keep the budget down especially if youre going to have about 50 or so people which i think is gonna be my turnout! And no, no banquet hall for me either!

Can some of you tell me why you chose DPA though because I know that many of you have mentioned that you were DT brides before. I understand the closing posed a problem for some, but besides that why did you decide DPA instead? because the prices seem basically the same btwn the two resorts to me.

any insight to help me decide where to lock down my decision would be great! thanks!

ok sounds good- yes i think i just came across that thread today actually, thanks.

Also so those who have more than 40 people (i think that was the cap on the gazebo), do you have your ceremony at the beach insteadhuh.gif

im just really concerned about how many people are going to show up bc many people have told me they want to come already and i havent even set a date yet! ah!

Hi suntansam---just checked the DPA website and it says that the max. number of people allowed in the gazebo is 80...I doubt that all 80 would be able to sit, though...

Also, to comment on your other post...one of the main reasons that I chose DPA over DT (in addition to the others in the thread Bianca posted) was because the entire hotel had just been renovated...I would really hate for one of our friends or family members to get placed in a room that was in need of repair / update, as I know how that can sour a person's experience. With the switch to Dreams, my TA assured me that all of the rooms were totally re-done.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
