Dreams Puerto Aventuras Brides - POST HERE!

I'm sure there will be no problem with your photographer... I really just think its still just miscommunication. What I believe the policy is: Your photographer must be from Mexico(maybe even the Cancun/RM area) or they must be a guest at the resort. That doesn't seem unreasonable to me. How many resorts have strict photog policieshuh.gif Not many. I doubt DPA will start like that since they are "new"

---is miscommunication even a word bc I keep on seeing red lines under it... am i just making up words?

There really isnt a form. Just email the WC and tell her what date and time you want to book and she will send you a spreadsheet with some info about what you want. I would recommend giving her a 1st, 2nd and 3rd choice on dates and times. They can be slow sometimes, so it would minimize the back and forth.

THanks, I have emailed Jacy a couple of times for dates and to send me the form or whatever is required to reserve the date but she has only replied if the date is available or not, and didn't say how I go abouts reserving it.

Tell her that you want to reserve the date. I know when I went to reserve my date Natalia said to book our room to confirm the date, which we did. Now Dreams requires $100 or $500 deposit depending on what package you book. I was told that they were not requesting the deposits until the resort opened, so I dunno what requirements they have now...

btw... In one of the threads about Dreams Tulum someone posted an email about what they are going to do with the guests while the resort is closed and the GM mentioned that DPA opens on Dec 1st...

I'm really sorry to hear about DT...but do you ladies think that it would affect the DPA, would everyone from DT be transferred over to DPA making it really crowded and overbooked? I am about to secure my date with DPA but is now unsure...

and I thought a DW would be much easier to plan..."sign"

Nah, don't worry about us Dreams Tulum brides. I just received an email back from Jacy (wow, same day response) and she told me not to worry, that at most, it would take Dreams Tulum 1 month to re-open and my May wedding won't be affected - whew! Weddings are apparently being re-routed to Dreams Cancun and a Sandals resort (Silver something?) in the meantime.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
