Dreams Puerto Aventuras Brides - POST HERE!

Alison for your bachelorette party check out playacrawl! http://www.playacrawl.com/#!__bachelorettes

They pick you and your girls up at the resort take you to 3-4 different bars, and end up at Coco Bongo. You have a personal guide the whole time to make sure you are safe. You don't wait in line anywhere and you sit at a VIP section in the bars. It costs $60 per person including all the drinks!!! I am totally going to do this with my girls. It sounds 100% safe and a very reasonable price. There are reviews on here and everyone said it was amazing!

Amanda - OMG I LOVE that guestbook!! I think I just may have to steal your idea! Hope you don't mind! That is exactly what I was looking for  :-)   How long would that take to get to me though? Do you know??

604 - You must be SO excited! Have a wonderful time! And I can't wait to hear all about it when you get back! :)  Glad to hear your FI's suit fits him well, that must be such a huge relief!

Ashley - congrats on booking your date! :)  Would be happy to help you with anything you need (if I know the answers of course)

Are any of you doing a bachelorette party while you are there?? My MoH reaallllyyyy wants me to have one, but my overprotective parents and fiance don't want just us girls leaving the resort. So, we are thinking of having the girls AND guys all go out to Coco Bongo's together one night, and then us girls will have a beach day around the resort somewhere. Maybe just play drinking games by the pool or something.

Coco Bongo's is an absolute BLAST by the way, if any of you have never been there! Best to reserve a table though, otherwise you are shit outta luck! ;)

Ashley, you can buy chair bows online at the tablecloth factory or weddinglinensdirect for about $1 apiece, much more reasonable than what Dreams is charing! We are bribing ours down with us.

Thank you! After reading all of your posts.. you girls are making me very nervous about not having too much done.  Our biggest concern is that we want a dinner on or close to the beach after our ceremony.  Are any of you doing that or have you done that?  I also haven't even thought about center pieces/ribbons for chairs/ welcome kits for guests.  I think we're going to have about 40 people coming.. invites are going out next week and then we'll get a better idea.  Has anyone not gotten married in gazebo and chosen to get married on the beach instead?

Someone calm me down, lol.... the weather forecast looks like crap next week and onward.... Usually this time of year forecast calls for showers off and on but I keep checking and all seem to saythere's a lot of rain, minimal sun. Not just the odd rain shower.. I wish I never looked. We all know its a risk and a possibility, no guarantees of perfect weather....but as my date gets closer i'm less willing to be okay with it. Lol. Fingers crossed ladies! Still have 5 days till we depart so here's hoping things will change :) (thanks for letting me vent, heheh)

Hey 604!

I have been reading the same thing about weather...  It seems like there is more rain than shine there for some reason..  BUT it will still be warm so don't worry about it! Plus it is Mexico, so you will get some sun no matter what!!

If it rains on your big day, you can always just have the ceremony inside. I think they do it El Patio, which I believe is pretty nice.  Or I was thinking if it rains on my day, I'll do it in the gazebo anyway! And just buy an umbrella!   Rain or shine, don't let anything spoil your day!!! It will be amazing!

Also, I have seen wedding pictures of couples in the rain, and they are GORGEOUS!

Hi girls I haven't been on in awhile. Hope the planning is going well for everyone. I'm really want to start gift bags for my guests and programs and all that stuff but I need to wait out and see how our numbers are turning out. I'm worried about the weather too but I was in Puerto Vallarta last summer before we left the forecast said rain and thunder on the forecast for everyday. Then when we got there yea it did rain but usually only in the evenings for a few no more than a few hours. It was kind of cool actually and did ruin the trip.

Do you guys know if it rains if they offer the El Patio for free? Or do you have to pay the 750?

Hey girls.. are any of you working with a travel agent? If so, I know that once everyone is booked you receive a certain amount of credit/dollars that you can use to put towards your guests.  Can anyone tell me what credit they've gotten.. and how many people booked?  I'm trying to figure out how much of a discount we can give our guests because my fiance and I won't be utilizing it.

Thanks :)

Hey Ashley, Our group deal through our TA came to about $1500 per person with flights for 7 days. Our discount was a free trip for us if we booked 10 rooms, which we did, we just had to pay the tax which was about $300 each for FI and myself. So I guess the discount came out to be around $2400, which we did use on ourselves due to all the other expenses!

Hey Ashley!

Our deal was pretty well the same as Allie's. Each guest paid about $1500 for everything and after we filled 10 rooms, we got one free trip. We had planned on using it for ourselves as we are paying for everything and it really would have helped, but my bridesmaid couldn't afford it and I need her there, so we gave her the free trip instead.

Hi ladies!

I got married at Dreams PA on January 25, 2012. It was AMAZING!!  Don't worry about a thing! You will be soooooo happy with everything!

Here is a video of our wedding ceremony! Hope it answers some of your questions! If you have more, feel free to email me! (I'll post my email address at the bottom of this post)

If you need a photographer, I'd totally recommend Octavio Montes! We are sooooo happy with him!!  He was so cheap and omg, his pictures were amazing!!  AND we got them all, every one that the took!!  If you want to see a sample of his photos let me know and I will show you a website with every single photo he took! And he took approximately 1000 of them! All so great!    PLUS, he webcasted our ceremony so all our friends and relatives in Canada could watch. They loved it. Said the video and audio was great and it was like they were right there with us :)

Congrats on your wedding!!

Hello ladies, everything was perfect. Dream come true.... A few minor glitches but can't really complain. The biggest was the minister didn't say the vows we chose, which sucked but no one else knew. I will put up more info when i'm back home, got free wifi at or honeymoon so thought id pop in to say it was fantastic. Got to watch a few other weddings too, wonder if any of the brides are on here!?! happy Valentines day

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
