Dreams Puerto Aventuras Brides - POST HERE!

Recommended Posts

Hey Sarah,

The deal that I got through the hotel was that for every 6 rooms booked, they give me a rebate that gets split between the guests. It takes each guests total down by about $185.  Maybe you could  keep the rebate money to help pay for the dinners, etc. since they only cover 20 people??   75-100 people is a lot, and as you said, you are bringing in a TON of revenue, so hopefully they can work something out for you.

Since my wedding is in Feb, I have a pretty quick response time from my WC. If you'd like I can ask her about any deals they may have!

Mrs. Robinson...........Since we both have Sandra as a wedding coordinator I was wondering if you asked her about the resort policy re: external photographers? I have emailed her about it and have not got a response. According to the wedding info pdf it says we have to pay for a room for the photographer for the night, but I think Alison said her WC told her that they only need a day pass!

Alison sounds like you have a better WC than us as yours answers emails ;)

I've only sent her 3 or 4 emails so far, but I she has replied either the same day or the next day. So if you guys have any questions let me know and I'll ask her.

About the photographer thing, it's too bad your WC didn't get back to you on that. I have a feeling my WC is new and maybe has her information wrong?? I'm worried that I'll get there thinking I only need a day pass when I'm really supposed to have a room booked. I think I'll fire her an email in the next couple days, so let me know of any questions you want me to ask her!

Allison, if you have a chance ask her if there are any wedding day discounts if the wedding party is larger.  I am going to send a note with the same question as well.  I already asked if the buffet option would be cheaper for a large group and never got a response.  I guess I am going to have to stand my ground.  Thanks for the quick responses!

We visited in October to check out the place and it's goregous, we are getting married on the beach if we have as many people as we think we are going to have and we are renting out the Patio.  The food was amazing, the drinks were strong, and all of the weddings we saw were gorgeous.  I am really excited about our wedding there! :)

Soooo good to know about the photographer thing!

Sarah - It's really nice to hear that you have actually been there! It's so nice to hear they make the drinks strong! lol!  So many resorts make their drinks too weak!   I was thinking about getting married on the beach as well, but it looks like the beach is so small... do they do the beach weddings in a nice location? Also, how rocky is the beach?  Can we get away without wearing shoes in the water, or should I make sure my guests bring water shoes??

I'll let you know what Jackie says about any wedding day discounts! :)

Hello Brides-to-Be!

So my fiance and I are trying to decide between Dreams Puerto Aventuras and Dreams Puerto Vallarta. I filled out info request forms for both resorts and have heard back from (and had terrific communication with) Dreams PV, but I hadn't gotten anything from Dreams PA. The wedding coordinator at PV sent me a package of information that is similar to what they have available on their website, but has more info and some pictures of ceremony sites, flowers, etc. I'm assuming (but maybe not) that Dreams PA has a similar packet of info ~ if anybody has an up-to-date packet like this would you mind e-mailing it to me at grassif@hotmail.com

Thanks so much for any info you girls might have!! cheesy.gif

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
