Dreams Puerto Aventuras Brides - POST HERE!

Recommended Posts

One more question.... Is everyone doing welcome bags?

My fiance thinks its silly to put in a bag things that most people already pack themselves.

I was thinking more of buying a nice bottle of wine for each couple that comes down after the trip. (Everyone in my group drinks alot of red wine!)

plus then we would not have to lug a bunch of stuff!

 Thoughts?

Hi everyone, my fiance and I are thinking of getting married at Dreams Puerto Adventuras, how was your experience?  I have heard some bad things about the photographer and videographer, what did you all think?  How helpful was the wedding coordinator?

Hi Tracy, we decided to rent El Patio, so Jacy said we don't have to bring too many decorations because the restaurant is beautifully decorated. For tables I'm doing orchids, all my flowers are orchids, i'm getting silk ones.

I'm doing welcome bags for each guest. i posted pics of all my things. I just also got pashminas in NYC for $2.50 each and they are beautiful. I wanted to give my guests welcome bags as a totem of appreciation for the fact that they are going all the way to the wedding.

I hope this helped

I have seen some of his pictures and they look pretty good. Here is a link he sent me for the photography http://www.photographyarte.mx/~photoarte/Adrianne&Josh       and here is one for the videography http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pXKqTX6WMCM . We are also going to meet with him before the wedding to go over some of the pictures that are important to us and what kind of style we are looking for. We thought about going with a outside photographer but  they were either way out of our price range and it seemed more complicated then I wanted to deal with. I liked the simplicity of getting everything in a package.

The wedding coordinator has answered all my questions fairly promptly, but we are waiting until we get a final head count and we get down there to make any final decision.

Hope this helps.

That sounds great. I think I am going to do Beach bags, Pashimas, and a bottle of wine and hopefully deliver them before we go down there. We have a very small group flying down together 7 adults and 4 kids under 6, so I don't want to worry about the extra luggage.

You would happen to know if you can request carseats for the transfer from the airport?

Thanks!

Have you found a dress? After I decided on the dress is when I really felt like it was just around the corner!! and now I only have 2 months to go!

Let me know how your AHR  planning is going. Are you still going with the roasted pig? Have you decided what you are serving with it?

Thanks!

Tracy

I DID find a dress!! It just came in on friday, and I have my first fitting scheduled for April 2nd! I also found my shoes. Victoria's Secret had a great selection of white flip flops, in a variety of heel heights and styles, so I just ordered a few pairs to compare. I have two that I really like, so now I just have to decide.

Our formal invites are going out this week too. I feel like all of a sudden there is just SO MUCH to do!

I *think* we're still doing the roast pig, but that's not confirmed yet...

You're absolutely right though. Now that I got the dress part out of the way, it feels REAL.  :-)

Yay, I got my form to fill out with all the details from Sandra on Monday of this week. woot.gif

29 days until the wedding, 27 until we leave. YAY!!  I'm kind of freaking out though.

My family is nervous about how things are going in Mexico, but I'm staying optimistic.

Dad says this is his last trip down there for a long time. Either way, I'm excited.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
