Hey everyone!! My name is Bianca and I am from Texas but live in Virginia Beach(fiance is in the military).

We are have our wedding here at Dreams Puerto Aventuras on May 20, and I am super excited/nervous because I have no idea what to expect.

Anyone else having there wedding that weekend?? We will be staying from May 14-23. 

Any advice please throw it my way, it would be great. Thanks.

What is everyone doing about music??  Wondering if I believe I even really need it... maybe just for the walk down the aisle.  Thinking something along the lines of Jack Johnson's Better Together.  It's got a nice beachy vibe.

I saw on here someone did the wedding music in Steel drums for a beachy vibe. I think that would be cool. I like the idea of Jack Johnson for our cocktail hour.

 

I think it would be nice to have for your toast after the ceremony.

We will be there from the 17-24

We are doing the ultimate package

So far we have 18 or 19.

No I haven't really been communicating with the WC not at all, I did for like one question and they took forever to respond, but I "liked" the DPA page on Facebook and met some brides who had their wedding there. They really helped me out with a lot of questions I had. 

Not sure what to do about the music Tiff, thats one thing that is really mind boggling to me! 

What about you all?

 

Honestly I feel like I don't have many things figured out at all.

Our wedding is the 19th, we are having around at least 25 guests, we don't have a total yet. We are going with the Ultimate package. From what we understand getting to talk with the WC takes a great deal of waiting until you get closer to the wedding date. As far as our music, I think we are going to make a playlist and bring a small ipod/speaker setup, or an ipod and rent a sound system. We are not sure where we want the reception to be yet.

 I'm in the same boat as you. I'm not sure what I want in terms of music or even if I need it. Are you having a reception?  If so where at?  I think we were thinking the beach. I was thinking about bringing my i-pod and seeing if we could just use that somehow?!

Hey ladies, So Its official we just paid for our rooms! No take backs now. So far we have 26 people confirmed. More than I expected! We will be there June 8 - June 18th, Will anyone else be there around this time? Our wedding is on June 11th.

We aren't having a reception in Mexico, just going to party in the pool or all go to a restaurant or something, not a big group traveling with us.  We are having our ceremony on the beach (not the gazebo) and I'm pretty much thinking the ipod dock route also... if any music at all. I'm stumped.
