Dee,

You look amazing and thank you for sharing the photos. I excitedly went through all 900 of them. I love the picture of you and your girls on the coral/rock. It didn't look very windy either. Where are you with the tequila shots... the lounge? Can't wait to hear more details.

Lol we went to Desires, It was so fricking windy/cold outside for the reception. That was my one piece of advice to Janna, change your dinner from outside to either above Portofino or spend the money if you can afford it and rent El Patio. See the thing is every week the world cafe has a different menu each night and one of those nights is Mexican so El patio closes, if you could plan your wedding on that day maybe they would give you a price break since its closed already. Thank you so much, no it wasnt very windy on my day thank goodness. I didnt chance it though and put my hair up. My dress was kinda grecian so up went better I think. We went and partied at Desires with Martin and the entertainment team and had such a blast. It was fun. My photographer came and sat and partied with us and took pics and went way over her time but she was a doll and didnt charge etc. She even ate the cost of the hotel for our package. She wasnt very well known on here which made me nervous but my good friend knew her personally so we took a chance and I am so glad we did. Anyways I will post an entire review soon.

I don't know how on earth I'm going to get all my decorations and favors down there...think i went a bit overboard! I'm planning on using Victor Herrera for my photographer( if he ever gets the contract back to me) does anyone have any other suggestions for a phtographer? I wanted Sascha Gluck but unfortunately he's booked on my day!!

I used Sascha. There are tons of great photographers out there. If you do a search there is a thread somewhere that lists out a bunch of photographers in the Riveria Maya.

I didn't do a hair trail. I brought an inspiration picture and the lady (can't remember her name) followed it. As she went along she kept making sure that she was doing it the way I wanted. No need to worry!

I saw your pics Ginalyn and LOVED them! You look so beautiful .I tried to book him but unfortunately he was already booked for my wedding day. Your ttd session was awesome too. Did you use the resort videographer, and if so how was the DVD? What time of day did you get married? Our ceremony is at 5 p.m. and dinner at 7. Where did you have your reception?

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
