I think part of the reason I'm so excited is because our last trip to MX (it was my first vacation) we didn't go to any bars or anything and our resort didn't have a club really for night entertainment. This will be entirely new for me and I've heard a lot of great stories from other friends.

DAMN IT - WHY DO I STILL HAVE TWO MONTHS TO WAIT?!?!?!?!?!!!!!!!!!
Hahaha.....you're too cute Echo!!! 2 months is going to fly by!!!

Regarding the nightlife in Playa del Carmen, I loved the idea but the $65 per person was too high. I read somewhere that a lot of the clubs/bars are free to get into. So we are going to book a 12 person van for $180 ($15/person) to take everyone to playa from 10 pm-2am on the Thursday after our welcome cocktails. the big drinkers will probably spend at least $65. But the cheap light weights (my girls) will probably get away with spending a lot less to get to dance and party.

We were going to wait to for El Patio but then we found out that it didn't have air conditioning so we decided on the banquet room. It's free and my candles won't get blown out. We have a late ceremony so it will be get dark anyway.

If you look at Coco Bongo's website its 50 dollars just to go to. So 65 wasnt that high. Not sure about the other too but Coco Bongos has shows etc during the night with artists so I knew there was a cover there. I will let you know how it goes and after if it was worth the 65.

Badrianne, I am not sure where you got that quote from.. but we paid 7 dollars per person ( there and back) for 12 people in a van. We just ordered it through front desk!

Its thursday and we leave Sunday morning. I still have a million things to do. What are some last minute things you wished you had taken that you thought of when you arrived. Cant meet with jacy till monday am which is fine. Doctors at tuesday 10 am. Hopefully going into Playa Monday to the Mac store to book an appointment. Although they want far too much money for the wedding day but I need some stuff. Rings tomorrow pick up my dress today. My stomach is having mini ulcer attacks for some reason. I didnt think I was stressed but my body says otherwise.

See you in 3 days Janna. Air Canada Vacations have been horrible to deal with for our seat selections for my family. Currently my three year old is sitting by himself 2 rows back from everyone else. Hopefully I can get it all straightened around. Who knows maybe will get a room upgrade when I get there to make up for AC crappy customer service. Hopefully you have better luck .

SO EXCITED FOR YOU DEE!!

Even though you don't feel too stressed, your body is obviously showing some signs of it so try to breathe and take a few moments to sit down throughout the day and relax!! sorry that you're having last minute problems with AC but I'm sure they will not leave your little guy sitting by himself. People are often willing to switch seats to help a family sit together too. And besides, once you get down to MX you'll forget all about it!!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
