Hi ladies. I am now at dpa and I am now married yay!! my fiance had an incident with a glass dorr when the family arrived and we went to the hostipalso the wedding pictures are very unique!! nonetheless, the wedding was perfect, very nice and simple, it was so windy but it made the day special and the pictures are breathtaking. rest assure that you don t have to plan anything before you get here. Thay take care of eveything , they are use to it. you can change you mind last minute and there is no problem. you don t need to detail everytthing because any wedding here will surely be nice. the only thing is that it went by too fast! The hotel is flawless, veryone in our group thought is was perfect and there is so many things to do around. Anyways, ill post pictures and a full review when I get home on saturday, two weeks is fantastic but we are starting to miss home, especially since it is noisier on the 7th floor th past two days... oh well, everything else is perfecto.talk to you soon!

SassyCass- that's great news, congrats. Did your TA help you secure El Patio too? I am still on the fence about where to have the reception and thought we couldn't book El Patio until we got there? Should I try and book it in advance gals?
2010Wedding, sorry I have been MIA from the board for awhile. Yes, my TA helped me secure El Patio. I told her that I really interested in renting it out, and when I met with her she said okay booked for 10/01/10 at the Gazebo with a reception at El Patio. I told her I thought you couldn't book it "officially" until a week or two before and she said well normally they don't book it for a party of your size, but I talked to Sandra and worked it out. She didn't say anything about timing...of course, that is also mid-hurricane season...so who knows!

Sandra hasn't gotten back to be in about 1-2 weeks, so I resent the email and she replied the same day.
That is great! I know emailing can be frustrating! I am thinking I am going to push for later, so thanks for the info.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
