Hi everyone! I'm Susan. My fiancé and I are getting married at Dream Cancun on Oct. 12, 2007! We were there last October (before we were engaged) and saw a breathtaking ceremony and reception. When the ring came in Jan., we both knew we had to go back to Dreams! We are expecting 50+ guest and really want to do something memorable. I love the idea of a destination wedding. I have been to several "traditional" weddings in the past couple of years, and while they were all very nice, it seemed like they were all over so fast. All the time and stress that went into the planning process, and then like Cinderella, at the stroke of midnight, it was all over. I really look forward to being able to spending time with our guests. What a perfect opportunity to get all your friends and family together to meet, catch up, and vacation together. I look forward to swaping ideas and experiences with other Dreams Cancun brides! I'm so excited!!!

Does anyone have any color suggestions? I was thinking a blue color would look nice with the surroudings, but I'm open to pretty much anything (except red smile72.gif )

Hey Susan, Welcome to the forum! I like the blue colours too... I think Christa (A10CALGAL) is using Aqua, which looks amazing - it's a nice tropical, yet not dominating colour. I really like it, but I'm not very good with colours either... so maybe you should just ignore this message! lol

welcome susan, I think going to a DW gives you the opportunity to do just about any color you want. make sure you post your engagement story, we love hearing about them. And of course we want pics of your ring.

Welcome! We are getting married at Dreams CAncun also in October! October 7th to be exact! Then we are moving over to the El doraldo royale for our honeymoon! You will find lots of useful information here....I have basically planned everything from this site! Let me know If I can help! Can' wait to hear about of your planning!

PS....my colors are just tropical colors....Hot pink, orange, chocolate and teal!

Welcome Susan! I am also a dreams cancun bride, October 19th! You will be able to find so much helpful information here, take a look around and ask us if you have any questions. I am doing Bright pinks with some aqua for my colors. Let us know if we can help with anything!

      Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!

      Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else.
