adais.angel,

December 2010 seems so far away but it will be here in no time. I changed my destination to Jamaica, just figure to much having to translate the documents back and forth from english to spanish than english.

I am hoping for a dec. 1 date that will be our 5th anniversary of meeting.

We had the same concern about the translation of documents so we will be doing the legal stuff before we leave. Take all the pain out of getting married in MX. wink.gif

That is so sweet about your 5th anniversary!! Chris wanted our date because it was 12-11-10 LOL

I was wondering how everyone's planning is going?

So far we have:

- location narrowed down but are waiting for our site visit to finalize

- STD's 75% done

- Basic picture examples for decor, dress, etc....

I feel like I have SOOO much left to do but that I am not getting anywhere cause we are waiting to select the resort. Anyone else feeling like this? Carla wink.gif

Hi Carla,

I think you have alot done. I started a file system so everytime I see something I like I put it in the file.

We have the location finally picked out. Rui Ocho Rios. It took me a while. I spent many hours on trip advisor and going thru all the reviews on this site.

I have my invitations picked out and I did find a nice STD I liked but can't find the site anymore how frustrating I thought I saved it in my favourites lol. I may make them. When are you sending yours out. I was thinking 1 year before the date but now I am wondering if I should do it sooner.

I have a bunch of pics of favors, decorations etc that I like but not narrowed down.

I have chosen 4 dresses that I am in love with, just have to decide closer to the date which one I will order.

Have the colours picked out and the style of dress for the MOH and my daughter who will walk me down the aisle. (not sure if I mentioned this is my 2nd time around). Also have pic of what I would like the groom and BM and my son(who is also walking me down the aisle :) ). to wear.

I have even started the guest list.

Oh and we have decided to have the steel drum band so I have been busy reviewing different songs. I have a few that I am having for sure.

It seems I spend hours on the compter reviewing and searching lol. I hardly get any work done.

Have a great day and Happy Planning

Chris

I'm also a 2010 bride! Hopefully July 31, 2010. Like so many of you, we can't confirm the date as of yet since its too early.

So far I have a guest list together.

We have booked a photographer who will be traveling down with us.

I hope to confirm our date in early January to be able to make STDs shortly after and get them out!

Chris,

After reading through your list I guess I have more done than I thought. I totally forgot about finishing the guest list till you mentioned it. I picked out my dress too, now to have it made as a knock off. I am such a penny pincher. wink.gif

I was thinking sending ours out a year in advance but I am wondering if maybe we should wait until after the holidays because not all our relatives are invited and I would hate for them together in a room at Christmas and start trying to figure out who got invited and who didn't.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
