The same thing happened to us! We were going to go January of 2011 but the TA told us that if we went in the off season we could get some great deals. So now we are going in the middle of December 2010. wink.gif

I am so excited to have other brides on here who's dates are this far out!!!

I am a 2010 bride as well. Very excited that there are a few others here. I probably would have pushed for 2009 but my FI is going away to school for 2 years. So we wanted to wait until he was back and settled.

Looking forward to taking my time with planning and not stressing out!

We have decided on 10/10/10 as our big day!

No bookings yet for me either...moon palace don't take bookings for their weddings in 2010 until early 2009....then can't book our accommodation and flights with our TA til april/may 2009.....in theory, it means we should have a nice wee deposit saved by the time we go to book it...unlikely tho!!lol

I don't get that. I was able to book my flights/rooms. We just won't know until april exactly what day we are leaving.

You pay the hotel directly for the wedding package. Sometimes they require a deposit and most of the time you pay when you get there.

Contact them as soon as you know where you are going and ask them about your travel dates. They will advise you when to contact them again if they can't book your wedding date right away.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
