What's your skincare regimen?

I recently turned 33 and I have always just washed my face and moisturized- not much else really. I have good genes cuase my mom looks super young but it's like I woke up and am all of the sudden thinking should I be using an anti-aging skincare regimen? The one thing I def do is wash my face every night before bed.

I use Kiehl's facial cleanser and a daytime moisturizer with SPF/ Nightime moisturizer with lycopene...(?) If I am motivated I also have a Kiehl's toner that I use before moisturizing. I use Kiehl's "eye alert" eye cream during the day and a bobbie brown heavier nightime eye cream.

Do you get facials? How often? Is there a noticeable difference in your skin?

ah i'm a freak about my skin anymore too, i have panic attacks. i always try diff things but since i was a kid, ive use oil of olay products. the face lotion and serum is great. my mom has used their line since i can remember and her skin is great. i feel like i woke up one day too and my skin was yukky :o( i swear its from all the sun and tanning i used to do. i don't tan anymore and use spf when i go out, so that is always a major help too im sure.

You might try SkinMedica's Retinol Complex from SkinStore.com - they have free shipping. I got it as a sample and loved it.

Other than that I always go back and forth. Right now I'm using Boscia's Oil Free Face Wash, Witch Hazel as a toner (like $4 at Walgreens), Boscia Acne Gel, Boscia Oil Free Moisturizer w/SPF. Then at night I switch Moisturizers to Kinerase Oil Control (whatever it's called) and also add in the Retinol (Supposedly it's a less harsh version of other retinol products...).

After the wedding when I get a higher budget I plan on going all organic with my skin care regimine...

Thank you! Noxema does not work well for me ( i break out) but it looks like you have beautiful skin. I love the good drugstore finds!

again- a great drugstore find. Yeah I grew up with an anti-sun mom. I was always at the beach but would have to sneak in the laying out with baby oil... horrible!! sidenote- What happened to your pic Jaqueline?

Biore strips are the most satisfying thing ever. Seeing my blackheads on a strip is both gross and satisfying.

I definitely recommend SaffronRouge.com - they're great. Also a brand called SoPhyto will do a whole skin care analysis on you online - it is really great and fine tunes everything just for you. They are not super pushy with their products - a real esthetician answers you and they are VERY helpful.

If you want something cheaper that's "natural" (different from Organic, but better than most skin care lines out there) Boscia is a decent brand and not too expensive. You can find it at Sephora or SkinCare.com (again, they have free shipping which is great).

Actually there's a whole thread on Organic Skin Care somewhere on here. Try doing a search.

Hope that helps - good luck cheer2.gif

Yamille- I took my pic off, no reason really. I gotta get one back on there though ;o)

I forgot to mention that another face product I've use to CLEAN my face in the AM and at night is Clean and Clear. Joe just bought the Clean and Clear Advantage Kit. It comes with face wash, lotion and on the spot acne treatment. This reallllyyyy works girls, just an FYI'er!! You can feel the tingle! (I should do commercials huh??!)

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
