Prenatal pills = hair growth?? BUT not prego...

Not sure what topic this would go under, since I'm not prego, so I just threw it under chit chat corner.

 

This might sound silly, but I heard prenatal pills help hair grow- FASTER than normal. Does anyone know if this is true? Basically prenatal pills just have lots of vitamins for the babies, correct? But why not take reguler pills, are they better than a regular vitamin? Wondering if this could be an option for me and other brides out there who want their hair to grow asap? I have to be honest, I actually bought the pills not too long ago to take them, haha this girl will try anything...but stopped for no reason really, and now I'm just curious.

Well I dont think that the pills make you more fertil or anything. I started taking them and I swear my hair is growing twice as fast.

I don't think they have made my hair grow faster.. I do shed less hair so it has been thicker (but I already have really full/thick hair).

My doc made me start taking them 6 months before trying. I think everyone is different. I think my nails grow faster but not my damn hair that I need to grow out.

I am taking H&B from GNC is specially made for hairs and nail and using a organic shampoo with biotin, and my hair is growing faster, I've seen new hair in my scalp, which is wonderful since I have very little and fine hair!!! I don't feel my nails stronger but they are growing a little faster than use to be...

i use biotin vitamin to make my hair grow.... im not sure if it makes it grow faster or not.... but my nails seem to grow like a weed! I may have to try prenatal vitamins!

I actually believe that's a myth. My friend's OB told her that it's not the prenatal pills that make your hair grow longer, it's the pregnancy hormones that make the hiar and nails grow.....

I don't know either. I'm taking prenatal's b/c you're suppose to take them before, during, and after a pregnancy. I've been taking them a while and my hair doesn't grow even though I just cut a foot off! And my nail's aren't growing faster. I think it's pregnancy that does that.
