Wedding party issues...need opinion please

Recommended Posts

i had 3 BMs and DH had a best man, all our attendants were seated during our ceremony and it didnt look weird at all. i actually prefer how it looks to have ONLY the bride & groom up front. the day before my wedding, there was another one and i watched it from my balcony. this chick had, no joke, like 9 BMs and 8 GMs - and the only reason it looked stupid was because the altar area looked so freakin crowded!

I would have your MOH walk down by herself and then the rest of the girls walk with the guys...that way you are making the made of honor stand out more...DONT WORRY! No matter what you decide it will look good so far for us we are having 7-8 girls on my side and 6 on his..OH WELL!

I don't think that this will be weird. I have seen many weddings at home that have an uneven number of attendants. This is also the beauty of having a destination wedding-anything goes! When there is an uneven number of attendants, you could have one groomsman escort 2 bridesmaids down the aisle or have the groomsmen standing along with groom as the bridesmaids and you enter. I think the most important thing is that you have people who are truely special to both of you representing you on your wedding.

Don't worry about this at all, it will not look weird. I have an MOH and a Bridesmaid and FH is alone. He had to ask his Bestman and groomsman (both our brothers) not to come. What a mess! But FH says he will stand up for himself like he always has. Ha! Good way to handle it.

Moral of my story: don't worry about numbers, have too's and traditions. Have who you really truly want and that's it, whatever the numbers!

We have 4 BMs and probably 2 GM (assuming they all book that is). We're probably just going to have the MOH and Best Man stand up with us and have the others sit so that it's not too crowded and doesn't look awkward.

We also plan on having as many flower girls and ring bearers as possible - all will just walk down the aisle at once (no matter how chaotic it is - I think this will break the tension and cause some laughs wink.gif). I love kids and think it will be really cute wink.gif

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
