What room will you be using at the Hotel?
I used Salon Paoli, if you're using this one, I could send you pictures.

BTW, will you be serving cake? If you don't already have a cake vendor, my girl was fabulous!
That's a good idea - I'll contact the banquet manager I was dealing with to see if she can send me the preferred vendor listing. So far, I've been using the vendors recommended by my WC - but I think for my own sanity, I want to make sure I'm getting a good deal!

My dinner reception will be in the Salon Martorell and so I can't wait to see what it looks like in person. The Salon Paoli looked beautiful as well from the website. It was all the great pictures on the El Convento website which really made me want to have my reception there and use it as our main hotel.

I definitely would be interested in your cake vendor - I was planning to do a smaller two tier cake -

Thanks again for all your suggestions. I'm starting my invitations - I'm hoping my crafty side will come out! So far all the templates from the forums have been really useful.

I will PM you her information.

The Salon Martorell is beautiful!!!

Unfortunately, it was in use on our wedding day & even though we had a small wedding, I would've loved having my picture taken in there.

Just so you can see what my cake looked like. It was beautiful & tasty.

Latinhunny - I appreciate the comments on the Salon Martorell room - it looks beautiful on the website and I'm hoping it looks as good in person. Your wedding cake was beautiful! I will definitely get in touch with her.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
