HI PR BRIDES-

No ones written in this forum for awhile, are there any current PR brides or people that could give advice? I'm having a wedding there in Aug 2013 and am just in the beginning phases of the planning process... We just hired a wedding planner and are looking at the water and beach club hotel... any recommendations for salons, decorations, etc??

Hi there! I am in the initial planning stages for a July 2013 wedding in PR. I am looking at El Conquistador and Rio Mar, but am open to other suggestions too! I am not planning to visit PR before the wedding, so I would love some advice from anyone who has been to these resorts. I really have my heart set on a beach ceremony and ideally a beach-ish reception!

I don't have too much "advice" but I'm happy to share my day-after photos with you all so you have an idea of locations! We went to El Morro, wandered around the town a bit, then went to Isla Verde Beach. Plenty of photos on my photographers blog!

I'm a current PR bride!!! There doesn't seem to be many of us on here.  I don't really have any advice to give yet, because I am still in the beginning phases as well.  We are getting married June 23, 2013, but do not have a resort yet.  We are thinking El San Juan Hotel & Casino or La Concha Resort, but they all seem so expensive, so that could change.  The Water & Beach Club Hotel looks great!  Who is your wedding planner?

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
