Hi ladies,

I'm getting married in Cabo. I plan on doing postcard STDs with a picture of the beach/ocean that I took when I went to Cabo to visit wedding venues. On the back, I would like just some simple text about about the date, location, etc. Can anyone recommend a good place to get these postcards made?

I did a search on the forum and it seems like a lot of people use Vistaprint. If you've used Vistaprint for postcards, could you please share details on their quality? I am looking for good, thick material, like the type that postcards are usually made of.

Thanks so much!!

I used vistaprint for postcards and I was really really happy with their product. The quality of paper seemed just like a normal postcard. I ended up getting the small size one and although it worked fine for what we were trying to do it was probably a bit smaller than a regular postcard size. If you want the same size as a real postcard you might want to go for the bigger one. I did see a bride complain on the forum once about her postcards from vistaprint but mine came out pretty good.

And for the price you can't beat it. If you search on the forum you'll be able to find where one of the brides posted a specific link to go to so the postcards come out free in vistaprint. I think I got 100 postcards free and only had to pay $9.99 for shipping.

I used Vistaprint for my photo STD's, welcome notecards & Thank you cards. I love how everything that I've ordered has come out. To me the quality is great. For my STD's, I got the large postcards & matching large magnets.

Ofcourse, everything that I've ever ordered was free. Just make sure you go to their site & sign up for their emails. Once you do, you will literally get an email nearly everyday or every other day with their specials.

Since we had all of the pertinent info on the front, we just put our monogram on the back.
But, if you want, you could always put some text on the back saying that yes, you guys are having a destination wedding & would love everyone to attend, & that you will be sending out additional info at a later date which includes air/hotel rates, etc etc. I don't think I helped too much, but hopefully you get the idea!! LOL

We have not finished designing our STDs yet, but what we have decided is that we are only going to do a just a picture of the Cabo beach, so it's just a scenic postcard with no writing on the photo. We are hoping that if it's just a plain picture, guests will pin it up on their bulletin boards or fridges as a reminder of their fun, upcoming vacation! (If it's not just a plain scenic photo, we think people may be less inclined to do so and may just toss them.) Then on the back side, we are going to have something simple, like our names, "save the date," the date, and Cabo. We'll also have line that says, "For further information, please visit our website at..." On our site, we'll post all the details and travel info. Then we plan to send out formal invitations a few months before the wedding date. We are still trying to figure out the exact wording ourselves, so any thoughts from other brides would be appreciated!!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
