that is so great they include that. We threw tradition out the window when we moved into together and then moved across the country together. We are actually breaking a law in VA by living together, so for me not seeing each other that night and the whole day of is just to build up the excitement, plus it will be a good time to spend the day with my family and best friends since I don't get to see them that often.

Yeah, that's pretty much how it was for us too. We already lived together before the wedding so it actually felt kind of crazy to not be together that night. But it did contribute to the "excitement factor" like Christine said. And that was fun. Also, it was kind of cool to stay up that night hanging out w/ my mom and sisters and then waking up and having a big family breakfast in the morning before all the craziness of getting ready started. I enjoyed it more than I thought I would!

Now if you want to hear something REALLY crazy. . .I actually know a couple who didn't. . . ummmm. . .spend any "alone time" (wink wink) together for a MONTH before the wedding!! stupid.gif

I never really understood the reasoning behind it - although it was a decision they made together and I think a big part of it was that they wanted to really enjoy anticipating each other. . .at least that's what I got out of what she told me. Personally there's no way I could do that. But to each her own I guess! rolleyes.gif

Rachelle, I had a friend who did the same, but they didn't live together, so that whole month thing, was probrably not as hard as if they had.

I wonder how all you girls are planning on doing this. I don't want to share a room with FI before the wedding but I know it will be a mess to share a room with some of my BM's (because there is only one single BM). I'm sure I'll be able to sort this out, I'm not sure how to go about it. Most of the GM are single so they are actually planning on getting a suite and Hans is planning on rooming with them untill the WD.

That would be cool if your FI could room w/ the GM boys before the wedding. . .that way you wouldn't have to book an additional room. Then you could just stay in your own room I guess, until after the wedding. I imagine wherever you stay would kind of be "wedding headquarters" anyway, depending on how much stuff you're bringing down w/ you. (gifts, favors, decorations etc.) Also, if he stays in a different room you can have your wedding dress with you and won't have to worry about him seeing it!

We won't be booking an additional room for the night before. Jared will be staying with his brother(single) the night before. So i think I get the room all to myself! Although I don't know if I want to be all by myself the night before. I may invite my BM's to spend the night.... we'll see. That could be crazy and I will need my beauty rest. LOL

My FI and I will stay together the night before. I think I would be too nervous to be alone. Plus we already live together so I can't imagine a night apart especially on the eve of our wedding. After we wake up we will go our separate ways and see eachother again before the ceremony in a special first meeting so we can talk and then take pics.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
