Those pics look great, you looked beautiful and cudos to your Mom. My Mom makes wedding cakes and a lot of people have asked her is she is making the cake to take down. She laughs at them and tells them only if they are going to carry it on their laps on the plane. I will have to tell her about this now. LOL! She did an awesome job!! Great review too.

I am thinking I don't want the steel drum band..but was wondering if they had something to play music with.
Can you get these speakers anywhere??
I bought mine on Ebay. I think they were about 70 bucks. Definitely go for the JBL mini sounddock. even if they dont hook it up to the speakers it can be turned up really loudly.

And I thought I had a lot of stuff to carry down to Mexico! Wow, I feel like a DIY failure of a mother after looking at those cake pictures! It was beautiful. What a wonderful gift and fun memory.

Congratulations! The pics are beautiful. Looks like you had a great time.

I also love the hint of blue in your BM's dresses & the blue parasols.

That cake was fabulous! Your mother making it in her room is just crazy! She definitely gets an award for that!

Oh, thanks for letting the brides-to-be know that they don't have to have 1 long table for the reception at Mammee Bay. For some reason, I never even questioned it during the time that we were there! Thats a great tip!

Hey congratulations and welcome back!!! I'm so glad you had a wonderful time. I absolutely cannot believe that your mom did your cake in the hotel room, that is just so cool! And it turned out amazing!!

Your entire ensemble was beautiful. I love the dress, the veil, the jewelry bunny_4.gif everything! And your mom's dress was really pretty too.

A side note to future ROR brides, Michael has stated in emails to brides here that he will not allow your guests to stand behind him and take the pictures that he poses. I understand why, but it's still pretty rude to step into peoples pics. Just FYI...

If you kept your barefoot sandals, you can mail them back to me and I can repair them, incase you want to wear them again one day!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
