What about having your son stay with a best friend & family?
Yes, this is an idea I've put on my list of "potential solutions." Just one more thing to deal with....

Christa while it feels like you are going through this alone ... trust you are not. This happens to all brides! Heck I am still 3 months out and starting to stress.

Remember that we are all here to help absorb some of the stress!

Sorry to hear about your family dog! Can your 16y.o. stay at your Mom's or the dog stay at your house as well?

I know this is hard but try not to stress and breathe. Is there anywhere else your son can stay while you 2 are on your honeymoon? I think at 16, he should be somewhat independent (except for the car thing of course) but still. Or am I wrong? Is there any way your Mom could possibly stop by 2 times a day to check up on him? Or could he spend the week at your moms house?

Hang in there Christa. Things will work themselves out. I'm glad you got a massage last night- are you feeling any better? I know we all will be in your shoes in a couple months. Heck, I just checked out my website and saw that i have 64 days left until the wedding. Holy crap I just about had a panic attack! Anyway, I'm sorry you are running into stress everywhere you turn. It sounds like you're already deep breathing, so just keep doing that- tell yourself it will all work out, and look forward to that margie on the beach in two weeks! Hang in there girlfriend, everything will be perfect- you've spent months planning and organizing- it will all come together. We're here for you too...

as a girl who just got from Cabo I can honnestly say - ALL THE LITTLE DETAILS WE STRESS ABOUT REALLY DON'T MATTER! It is amazing there - so relaxing and post card picture perfect that it would be impossablle not to have an amazing DW there. That being said - keep telling yourself to worry about the things you can actually impact. Set little goals for yourself so that each day you can be focused about what needs to get done right then and there and the next day take on another task. I wish I was closer by you so that I could come and help with your 16yr old. Know that we are here if you need to vent. You will be on vacation soon! grouphug.gif

Thanks for all the support ladies! Friday was definitely a day for me...I reached capacity. Thank goodness I got a massage....it helped! I went home & told R that I just needed a moment before getting into why I was stressed. He cooked me dinner, listened & didn't exacerbate my stress in any way. He let me just be which was nice & much needed.

Then I went to yoga on Sat morning which was AMAZING! I love my yoga class :)

So, to answer some of your questions...

Why can't 16 yo stay at my moms? Because my mom is living in a studio apartment above her horse stable right now that is only big enough for one person. She & her hubby aren't working out (umm, yeah, this is stressful too!) so she's living in my old place with the dog.

Is there anywhere else he can stay? Not really! I'm the only one with family here...and we made these arrangements w/my mom months ago. I guess we are going to have to share the burden amongst multiple people/friends...

Can the dog stay at my house? Of course he can! The problem is my mom doesn't want to haul him back & forth from her place to my "strange" place - thinks it would be too stressful for him in his current condition. She has to feed her heard of horses am & pm, so she would be back & forth multiple times per day.

Can y'all see how this could be stressful?

Is that the plan then? Sharing the burden amongst multiple friends? Yes, I can def see why you're stressing! That really SUCKS that the dog can't just stay at your house with your Mom. Whats so strange for him? I really hope she changes her mind - LOL. I'm happy you found other ways to relax though. I can't even imagine your nerves right now.... it's soo close.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
