Iberostar Brides....POST HERE!

Recommended Posts

We were there June 11-15 this past summer and it was HOT! I found myself in a ponytail at night and especially in the disco. It was hotter in the club, but when we walked outside at night, there wasn't much relief.

Going with your hair up is the way to go =)

I like the idea of veil for the ceremony and flower for the reception. Are you getting a fake flower? One that'll match your bouquets?

Shannon - I am planning on doing a veil for the ceremony and then having a flower put in for the reception. I am also going for an updo. Not sure about April or May, but I'm assuming it is going to be very HOT in June and I want to try and stay as cool as possible!
Hi- I'm sorry I should know this by now but its not in your side info...which hotel are you getting married at? I did read your visit review but I have to go back and go through it again to recall!

oh cool- I stayed at the Paraiso before which is of course next to the del mar. I love it- actually I went twice. I am thinking now of changing to the Lindo because the price of the Maya is NOT coming down! I don't get it!

My family stayed at the Maya in 2006 and my fiancee and I stayed at the Lindo this summer. Though the Maya has a little bit bigger rooms, I thought the Lindo was just as fabulous! If price is a concern I think the Lindo would be perfect, especially since you share almost all of the same amenities.

I think I may talk to my TA about switching...and make sure that is no difference with the WC..I"m not sure if they do one wedding per day in terms of the Maya/Lindo COMPLEX, or if its one per each hotel? I'm really thinking of my family and Kevin's immediate family- Kevin has 4 siblings that are college and younger that his parents are going to pay for. If the Lindo is $300 cheaper...that will really add up!

From what I understand the Maya/Lindo act as one resort when it comes to wedding and the Del Mar/Beach act as another. So if you are getting married at the Maya or Lindo you will be the only one. There may be a wedding going on at the Del Mar/Beach, but you would probably never even know.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
