Hhhhhhhmmmmmmmm... something borrowed.... I suppose there's the traditional/typical stuff... jewelry (earrings, bracelet, ring, etc), a viel, hair accessories, maybe a clutch... sorry, my creative juices aren't flowing this morning. sad.gif

Iberostar09 -- Nice suggestion.

Here are a few more items you can borrow...
toasting flutes (if not personalized), silverware to cut the cake, a book from the library to read a poem/scripture from or if your mom/sister/aunt still has their garter

Well since we are on subject- I can't come up with anything old. Using my FI moms earrings for borrowed. No old jewelry pieces in family.

Also, I have had no response from WC since gabriella left. E mailed over 2 wks ago

That sucks Gail! sad.gif I wish I could say I'm surprised but Reyna doesn't seem like she's as "on the ball" as Gabriela was. I mean she's nice enough, but still...if it makes you feel any better, I still don't have my marriage certificate with apostille yet.

But again, depending on how much it would be and if the iPOd thing works, maybe we will do it. Thanks! I really apprecite that! I can't wait to read your review! Also, if you have bars you recommend to meet at I would greatly appreciate the info!
I really am working on a review, but being the idiot that I am, I decided to get married, move to a new town and start a new job all in the same month, so it's been really busy for me the last few days...

The Vitrales room was perfect. It gave us privacy, we did speaches, cut the cake there etc. The Ipod connections were all there, we actually plugged into a laptop and used itunes, but all the connections were there. They had a speaker and a microphone...which had great sound. It just really felt like a real reception as opposed to just hanging out in one of the bars. We had the room from 8 - 10:30 and then we all headed over to the disco.

I'm hoping to get my review out by the end of the week.

Sorry - missed this part. We usually met in the lobby bar at the Lindo. There's also an open area with seating just across from the lobby bar that we would sit at as well. But that was the general meeting point.

Did you have a sand ceremony? Did you have to write anything for the ceremony or bring your own music? I'm doing the Civil Ceremony. I only have about 15 people coming down so far and don't expect anymore than about 25. Just trying to keep it simple as possible.

Thanks,
Noel

Noelynn - We did not have a sand ceremony but I am sure that if you wanted to, they would certainly accommodate for it after the judge is done performing the civil ceremony. I didn't bring my own music but Gabriela told me that I was more than welcome to bring my own. Hope this helps!

Wow you sure are busy! That is a lot of new things to happen all at once!

Thanks for that info. I am thinking now we might rent it out...we are having an AHR, but it would be nice to hang out and have a private room for everyone to chill and relax and talk.

The Lobby Bar...good to know! Thanks again! smile03.gif

My Fi is going down next week for work- an hr away from resort. They have him on tight schedule. I scheduled with gabriella for him to meet for about hr on 29th. She emailed before she left to send reminder to Reyne- well I did but no response. Hope she is available when he shows- if anyone needs him to check out anything in person let me know. Again, he don't have much time but he said to make him a list. Speak now or forever hold your peace

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
