Thank you, I am so excited I want to wear it now woot.gif

And how hard is it not to tell your fiance...they are the ones you turn to for everything. It reminds me when I threw his surprise 30th and I couldn't tell him ANYTHING.

I just want to show him and I can't =(

finleys7 - lol yeah, waiting for him to see me in the dress was the hardest part! When I was unsure about my first initial choice for a dress, I was dying for his opinion so I showed him anyway and thank God I did...he didn't really like it so I moved on. I didn't show him the one I bought until the wedding day of course wink.gif

We sent message in a bottle save the dates in January to everyone we invited and instead of sending invites to all invited, I am thinking of using the DIY passport invite that I have seen on this board, and including information about activities and a packing list and that sort of thing to just the people that are going. I (hopefully) will be sending that out in another 3 weeks (havenâ€t started them yet!!)– so it will be there just 8 weeks before the wedding. We also ordered custom luggage tags that I am sending out pre-filled with the guests names and addresses. People have been booking in spurts since January but we still have 5-10 people that have told us they are coming in the past month or two but havenâ€t booked so that is getting a little stressful.

We have spent a ridiculous amount of time on the oot bags and just finalizing the order for drink cups and need to pick up some small things at the dollar store but those are about done – just need to work on the welcome letter to put in them.

Finally – we need to figure out the ceremony and readings and make a final decision about whether to do a sunset cruise prior to rehearsal dinner at the resort, or host a dinner cruise for everyone in lieu of being at the resort.

I have been super laid back about the planning of this entire event but now that we are getting so close I am feeling like I might have been TOO laid back and will have a stressful next few weeks 
Where did you buy your drink cups?

Hey Girls!

The days are dwindling fast!! I'm gettign so excited! Picked up my dress yesterday, so it's hanging in my closet at my house! I told my FI today that I would have claim on the closets at the Maya when we get there and he can't peek, so I can have it hung and open so the train doesn't wrinkle!

We decided to go with an outside photographer only because when we actually compared apples to apples ... and that's not even the case because the quality is so much better ... we're actually paying less and getting way more pictures with Ivan Luckie! He is coming with another photographer, will be there throughout the entire day and evening, and is not charging us by the hour or by the picture count! He said on average, we'll end up with around 500 pictures! IN comparison to the prices from the FotoCaribbean, we'd get as many as 250 for $2000! With the $300 ... ridiculous fee for not using the resort photographer and the guest passes, we're not even up to the $2000! The quality will be so much better, we'll have two photographers, and at least twice as many pics! We've decided to have all digital copies so we can do what we'd like with them after, so those are the prices we're looking at. Here is the price list the Foto Caribbean sent me just a couple weeks ago. (Sorry if it's small, they sent it as an image, so I have to post as a pic.)

Toot a loo for now!!! wink.gif Christy!

Hi Ladies! I finally heard back from Del Mar! I have been trying to confirm my date since April! I wasn't too stressed though cause the wedding is not until NEXT NOVEMBER...yeah I know...really far away! But Karla has been great. I'm trying to stay calm....(I have already ordered a good portion of my OOT bag stuff...I'm trying to pace myself so I don't have to drop major cash all at once.

I wanted to pass a website on to you girls cause it was the cheapest place I could find luggage tag sleeves and the rubbery strap thingy. I am making my own luggage tags. (printing them on business cards and slipping them into the sleeves)

ClearBags - Promote, Protect and Preserve

I hope this helps others. I am going to be sticking 2 luggage tags in each envelope with the invitation. I filled out the resort address and left a place for them to write their names. How is everyone else doing?

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
