Not sure if the papers will be the same for all resorts or if the Grand is slightly different. But apparently this Last Wedding Details you should get about 2-3 months before your wedding.

So if your wedding is at the Grand and all your peeps are staying there with you...they have some amazing bars at the Grand. We flipped when we saw them. You will have no reason to leave your resort. Although the Maya is nice. We had our dinners at the Steakhouse and the Seafood Restaurants there. But seriously, I would never leave the Grand if I didn'f have to. We only stayed there 2 nights as we switched over for our honeymoon...we never looked back! It is the nicest resort I have ever seen. And my uncle, who travels all over the world and stays in really nice places, said the same thing. Oh, I want to go back so bad. The Lindo was nice, but the Grand was like the Bellagio times 10! You will have the most amzaing time!

One of the fancy bars at the Grand also had a dance floor...so plenty of room and I would say would be perfect for 12 people. Stay there the whole time...you will love it!!!!

Thanks BBtoB. It's a music bar, that's all I know about it. For extra events all they have listed is Cocktails, Rhapsody Bar, or Galaxy discotheque.

 

So from what I read cocktails is usually the inbetween event ceremony and dinner?

 

And I assume the Rhapsody Bar and Discotheque is for receptions... and the Discotheque is huge?

 

I just kept seeing Los Vitrales on here, so I thought it might have been the same thing as Rhapsody.

Yeah, the Rhapsody is at the Grand...the los vitrales is at the Lindo.

 

If I were you I do have your wedding dinner at one of the grand resturants, then go to teh Rhapsody bar and have your cake and dance etc...then if you still wanted to party,go to the Galaxy. The Galaxy is the resorts club in the Central Complex. The theme is cheesy, but we had so much fun dancing and drinking! And it was included! We did shots and seriously had the best time! There were lotws of brides there with there dresses on. We went the other nights, but didn't make it on the wedding night. We did the Los Vitrales room and the lobby bar at the Lindo. It was super fun, then we check into our hotel at the Grand.

 

Are you looking for traditional things like a first dance? The option I said with Grand would be a more laid back intimate approach, but that is what I would do if all our peopel were staying at the Grand. The Rhapsody bar looked pretty awesome!

Everyone except one person is staying at the Grand.

 

I just didn't want to rent the Rhapsody Bar if it was too big since only about a dozen people will be there (may 18... if the others decide to book...).

 

I was thinking of Toni's for the wedding dinner. Heard that is suppose to be pretty good.

Any other suggestions for restaurants? We have to pick a place for the rehearsal dinner, and I was thinking maybe the Italian for that one? The romantic dinner for just Mark and I is the La Brisa (they pre-assigned that one - don't know what they do for that).

I haven't been to the Grand, but we are doing our rehersal dinner at the Japanese, as we have 34 people for that. It's the immediate family, wedding party and their significant others. 2 tables for Hibachi should be plenty, I think they seat 18 at each table.

Did you eat at the Brazilian Restaurant "El Rodizio"? I'm trying to decide if I want my wedding dinner at the Steakhouse, which I heard great things about or the Brazilian.
